I haven't really delved much into the recipes yet. I am more just here's the meat, here's the veggie. I know, not very exciting. But it gets me in and out of the kitchen quick, so I am less tempted. (that is my story and I'm sticking to it) emoticon

My BF and I are starting in a couple of weeks after we figure out what kinds of meals we want to make. I find a lot of the recipes for this phase are fish heavy and I am not a fish eater. Any suggestions?

DH was down 2lbs and he isn't trying haha. He is left to his own devices for lunch emoticon though he is trying to make better choices like going for the salad instead of the sub.

And he eats my phase breakfast and suppers, for the most part. Except I gave him the whole egg, and he is down 2lbs. I can lose weight on steak and eggs also,and while I do miss the whole egg, I know there is a reason and science behind sticking to the plan, and so I do.

Anyways............ you are doing fantastic!!!!! emoticon

I don't feel so bad then..lol... thought I was the only one... just had breakfast, scrambled egg whites with peppers and onions.. that's my go-to Phase 2 breakfast.. but it works... I'm another 3 pounds down for 10 total so far. EXCITING!!! I can do anything as long as I see results!

I still have not really made a "recipe"

My dishes are more: here's the meat, here's the veggie. No masterpiece creations.

Like now, I just ate some fish. Still need to go get my salad, or some kind of veggie, and some more fish :) I usually plate it at one time, but I was hungry, and didnt know what veggie yet and so I just started with my fish.

We had a very simple yet yummy dinner last night on phase 2: grilled cube steak and steamed asparagus.. did it for me :) Though I do have one more Phase 2 day to go through...what to cook, what to cook?? I find Phase 2 the hardest. I do not have the book, so I don';t have any of the recipes. Last week we had stuffed peppers: lean ground beef, mushrooms, onions and garlic chopped and stuffed in peppers.. cooked with just a little broth so they won't burn. Was so yummy, that my 16 year old requested we make it again this week!?! Am thinking cabbage rolls (ground beef rolled in cabbage) might be another option? What do you cook?

For my phase 2 last week I knew I needed something to get through. I made the Beef, Kale & Leek soup. I'll tell you what it was terrific. I didn't have vegetable stock, so I substituted organic chicken stock instead.

I was so afraid it had so many greens & onions in it, that it was going to taste like grass soup. It didn't. I was everything I love about properly cooked greens. I was so surprised I ate it for 3 meals of P2.

Also, the first week I tried FMD I sauteed a bunch of ground turkey with onions, garlic and a load of spices. Then I just used this on lettuce wraps, salads, whatever. It was super handy to have in the house and it fit for many meals, especially in phase 2. I think I'll do this again, when I start a new month on Sunday.

The southwestern beef & cabbage stew was pretty good. I threw everything in the slow cooker and omitted the water as I ran out of room in the cooker. I added raw cabbabge and onions to the bottom of the bowl (posole style) and added a squeeze of lime to give it some freshness.

I made the peppercini pork roast last week and it was okay. Tonight I am going to try the souther beef and cabbage stew. I will let you know how it turns out.

Not really a recipe, but I topped my omelet with some grated cucumber, that I had put a little balsamic vinegar on while I fixed my omelet. Oh man this was yummy! I am not one to just eat cucumbers much but I bought 3 and thought I should get creative. emoticon
