I am doing my 2nd half Ironman (Iron 112) in August. My name is Cheryl, I live in Canada and I a shade under 50 years old. I am in my second week of base training *16 week program) and I am finding that this time around, my running is very bad. I am recovering (2 months into recovery) from a small tear in the hip flexor (old injury) and a strained abductor/medial glut. The transition training from bike to run outdoors is really difficult with my legs feeling like lead
I was wondering if anyone had any additional tips and as I have always run outside, I was wondering if I did the training using my treadmill for a couple weeks (with hills programmed in) if that would help my muscle memory come back. Currently I train everyday but with something different each day so that I don't work on the same areas two days in a row.
