Greetings all. Nice to have a guys thread. I've made the decision to change my life. Off to a good start but sure I'll need accountability going forward.
Lone star, I also struggle with sleep apnea. Actually that brought on my aha moment. Had the sleep studies (had a terrible time) was diagnosed and started therapy. Tried two different machines never could get used to it. For me the therapy was worse than the ailment. So I decided to address the root cause, obesity, Thus my aha moment.
Im looking for someone to team up with to help and be helped in getting to the finish line of my goals . If your interestred checkout my page and if your still interested leave a message and lll get back to you .

Hi, my name is Dan. Retired from a 25yr career in the Air Force in 2007 and work as a meteorologist currently. (Not the TV kind). Deezile is my Accountability Partner. I have had weight problems especially since retiring, but right now my biggest focus is on the Sleep Study I am having in a week. I know I have Sleep Apnea, now it is time to get it confirmed and get some help. Spiritually I am in a bad place too, although I was brought up better; at least I can still hear His still, small, voice.

HI. My name is Jim. I work as a band saw operator in a metal fabrication shop. I'm here because I'm tired of being tired. I'm 54 years old. I've been married to Sunnyseas for almost 32 years. She deserves a husband who is able to be there for her. While in the Army I was able to keep my bp in check. My weight and slower lifestyle raised it to medicated status. There are heart disease backgrounds on both sides of my family, heart attack on one, and stroke on the other.
Being raised Pentecostal and converting to Catholicism 10 years ago, my Christianity is very important to me and I believe becoming healthier is Gods will for all of us.

Hey everybody....My name is Patrick, I'm 36, and like Deezile, I'm a former athlete who was slowed down by injuries....specifically to my back and knees. I've always been a pretty big guy, but until my mid-20's, I was a VERY healthy big man. Unfortunately, with my entry into the workaday career world and all the attendent stress, I didn't take very good care of myself and I've been paying for it for the past 10 yrs. I am a controlled Type II diabetic with mild medically-controlled hypertension and until about a year and a half ago, I couldn't even walk without a cane because my back and legs had become so weak from injuries. One day, I woke up and told myself I was too damned young to be this crippled and I threw away the cane. Today, I am jogging up stairs and taking walks around the park with my sweetheart. A few years ago, I lost 85lbs while helping my ex-wife lose weight, so I can testify to the power of having a partner! I have recently decided that I am to a point physically where I can begin working out again, but I had already started to control my diet and it's paid off...I'm already down 30lbs, with a lot more to come! So, if you need a partner, give me a shout!

Fella's!!! My name is Deezile and i am 41 years old. I've played sports all my life, football being the main one. I have had a string of injuries that have kept me out of the fitness game over the last 5-6 years. I have had surgeries almost every year, Dec 31, 2012 my last one on my right knee. I'm on my journey again and hoping to have a crew of men with me.

Heya, My name is Reuben. I have am very much enjoying The Partnership Accountability to the Finish Line, group. Since joining the group I have made amazing discoveries and personal achievements. The lack of men in this group has not deterred me on my journey in fact it has strengthened my resolve through the support of wonderful people here.

Hi, I've listed a request on the Partner Thread and sent some private messages with no luck. I am 57, blessed with an amazing husband, 2 sons with wives (1 each), and 3 precious grandsons. I am just under 5" tall and started @ 171 # on the 14th of May. I love to crochet, paint, train, play with and walk my Standard Poodle, Myshka, read and most of all.....do things with my family! I really would love to pair up with someone to encourage, support and celebrate.

My name is Mark. I've struggled with weight issues my whole life. The past couple of years, I've been on a lose-gain rollercoaster. I lose weight at the beginning of the year, only to gain it back during the second half. This year, I want to keep it off for good. I will need help doing that, especially with summer break coming up. I could really use an accountability partner (or partners). Any takers? We could motivate each other in our journey.

Each of you are so important to us. Our membership is growing so fast and it is hard to locate the men spread all across the team. We have new men who join and have no idea how to find other men. Please list your names and a little about yourselves. Maybe tell who your partners are and if you could take on some more partners. Deezile recently became the new leader to help bring the men together. Please let him know if you need help in finding a partner or if you have other needs. You may have a partner who is no longer active and need a new one. Go for it!
Soon, we hope to see some competition involving both men and women. Please, check in often on the huddle wall and get involved in any of the threads, and even make new ones.
