walking around the lake at my mom's house while my husband painted some trim by her doors. It was beautiful, peaceful, and serene but I got 25 minutes and 5000 steps in!

Today I worked from 1:30am to 7:00am so I had to be smart and get some sleep before I tackled the rest of the day so now I am raring and ready to go.
Sleep is absolutely necessary to help one stay on track with healthy living habits.

Finding what works for you is essential to winning in this journey.


At the end of the day, be able to look back and say "I did my best today."

I motivated myself today by getting the extra sleep I needed because I am cutting the grass tonight. I use a push mower and it takes 105 minutes to do my mom and my yard.

Joining the Boot Camp 28 day Exercise Challenge. I had no motivation and still don't, but I also had no excuse to not do the 10 minute video. So despite not wanting to at all, I just went ahead and forced myself. It felt good--I'm no more motivated to do it tomorrow, but I will try.

I can do this!

I am on a streak of going for a 30 minute brisk walk with nordic poles. today was day 8 - completed.
I really find setting up these streaks and trying to keep them going is good motivation for me.

Today I found a quote here on SP that said something like - even if you go slow you are still outlapping someone on the couch. I decided I was not going to be the one on the couch so I got out for a 45 minute walk even though it was lightly raining. I felt great after that walk.

That Aquafit program sounds like so much fun. I am a 2 hour drive from the nearest pool so I'm looking forward to the summer weather so I can go swimming here in the ocean.

Went to my appointment at the doctor's to exercise for 1 hour. 30 minutes on the treadmill doing different speeds and inclines. Fastest speed 2.8 and highest incline 3.0. I had to lower speed to 2.5 at 3.0 incline to keep from falling off the treadmill. I feel much better now that I exercised. I have to do laundry so feel more energized to do that now. Laundry requires me to go down from second floor to basement on really bad stairs to wash 2 outfits at a time. Washing machine is very tiny. Dryer isn't much bigger.

I set my ticker to my highest weight of 210 lbs because it gets upset and doesn't want to save when I gain weight instead of lose.
