Tracking exercise and other extras. I always feel badly because people have bazillions of fitness points and here I am turtling along. But some move is better than no move and I just keep plugging. Even if it is a ten minute walk it's something.

Changed my Spark page ticker and I started tracking my days of not eating at night....thought it might help motivate me and I think it has. emoticon

tracking nutrition and fitness. Fitness good but nutrition not. went way over in calories today.

I set my ticker to my highest weight of 210 lbs because it gets upset and doesn't want to save when I gain weight instead of lose.
on Dec 30, 2012 I joined SparkPeople and weighed 195.8

We're all entitled to blah days, today was mine. My plans were forced to change due to taking the van in and my 4 yr old tagging along. It was too cold to walk outside and sitting for over 2 1/2 hours waiting for my van lost all momentum for the rest of the day. Grr. Lol. A good night sleep will help for tomorrow.

I ordered and received the body media armband and it is amazing! It helps track every movement and its more accurate than my pedometer. I'm glad it syncs with sparks cause that saves me tons of time logging everything!

I find my bingeing time was at night. I say was because I'm choosing to think positive. The more stressed I am, the bigger the bag of chips I ate. I'm choosing to curb that and de-stress.

I joined the Official Eat Up, Slim Down Challenge team and have to track nutrition so back to using the tracker again. Will see how it goes. Hopefully I will continue to lose weight. I am also adding more exercise days at the doctor's office each week from 2 to 3 days. I already have the appointments set for next week.

I no longer use the nutrition tracker because I tend to eat way more then normal because I can't get food off my mind. I am trying to just eat when I am hungry and stop when I feel I am satisfied. When I was tracking I would see that I went over calories by 5 pm so I would pig out on junk after that because I had already ate to much but never felt full. The cravings get really strong by 6 pm so I would just pig out and did not care that I was tracking 500 calories more than needed for my body.
I still eat more calories but don't have as bad of cravings. I am also trying to not give in to all the cravings or eat something healthy when possible. The nutrition tracker was not helping me to cut back on calories or change the types of food I was eating. I tend to eat more junk the more I track instead of the good foods. My blood sugar is better controlled now that I stopped using the tracker because I am not eating as much candy and chips as I was when I was tracking. While I was tracking I was eating twice the amount of candy and chips.
When I track food My mind seems to think I need the restaurant foods and candy and chips more since I have to get 1200 calories per day and veggies won't give me that. Once I stop tracking I stop trying to eat so much junk.

TRACK, TRACK, TRACK

Most of us claim that we watch what we eat. But do we really?
It has been shown in tests that we tend to forget some of the bites that we take throughout the day. It turns out that most of us do remember that hamburger and french fries we had on the way home. But the things we tend to forget are the 50 grams of chocolate, the can of Coke, the bag of popcorn, and the few cookies we had before we went to bed. Unfortunately, those little details make all the difference and the only way to stay on track is to have a clear and complete picture of what we really eat throughout the day.
