Walked 5.0 miles today! I know that I will feel it tomorrow! But in the end, I know in my heart, it WILL be WORTH IT! emoticon

I have to say, that August has not been my month! emoticon Don't get me wrong, I did not stop doing healthy things to lose weight, I just didn't do enough of it! I got discouraged! There, I said it, at least I'm honest with "me"! I just got a little side tracked. I have a co-worker who is doing beautifully, she has lost over 45 pounds! I've lost 11 since the start of the year. I am finally back where I need to be. Today, I walked 4.0 miles and I am feeling wonderfully BLESSED!!! I will keep on keeping on, so I can tell my success stories like others here on spark. I'm back and stronger (in heart) more than ever. GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU... DON'T GIVE UP, JUST GIVE IT TO GOD AND LET GO!!! OR HOLD ON (WHICH EVER YOU PREFER)! emoticon emoticon

sorry i had comp problems....hope fully i am not too late... i have been keeping up with the walking so i will just post, so i can feel like i fit in....lol. but i dont know my start weight so ....i'll just have fun doing this challenge with out actually participating

I got the okay to walk from my doctor. I walked only a half of a mile sofar today, now i am feeling very worn out. I am going to walk morethis afternoon.

I just upped my mileage. When I first started, I could not walk 1.5 miles at any given time. I don't know why my knee is giving me problems. Even before I started walking, my knee would bother me every time I walked down the steps! Its just more noticeable since I have been walking any distance other than just to get around.

be careful, dont just try to start walking 3 miles if your not used to it. add gradually so that your knee gets used to the extra activity.

Today, I walked 3.0 miles today in the park. I feel great. I would have gone farther, I've started having pain in my knee when I walk. I pretty much ignored the pain. I will keep on keeping on though. If the pain persists, I may have to go to my doctor to see what is going on!! emoticon By the way, I weighed myself yesterday! I have not lost any weight. I think it is because of my "visitor". Hopefully, next week will be a better one. I did put on a pair of pants I wear fairly on the regular and I had to change them because I don't have a BELT! I guess that some good changes are taking place anyway!

I did four miles yesterday. 2 miles walking outside and 2 miles on treadmill doing couch to 10K.

my starting weight is 215.
so my goal is 3 miles a day. wows thats a lot.
okay i know the challenge starts on the 10th but when does it end? you didn't give a date.

Hey all! I was happy to be last month's winner! For our challenge this month, for those who are interested, I am shooting for adding an EXTRA MILE TO YOUR Workout! If you walk 1.0 miles add and extra one! If you walk 5.0 miles, add an extra one! I think that we all will do well this month! To start things off, post your starting weight! And don't forget to post your ending weight at the end of the challenge! The Challenge Starts August 10! Good Luck!!
