My sister and I did a Bible study on the book MADE TO CRAVE by Lysa Terkeurst (I hope I spelled her last name correctly!). It was really helpful. Not a "how to" diet book. Just explaining that what we're make to crave is NOT food! Might be helpful?

I'm really not hungry per se...I guess that because I was living with so much trouble eating for so long, at those times when I WAS able to get something down without having to bring it back up, I ate/drank anything and everything, particularly high calorie slider foods, so now that I don't have that issue, I have to be really careful that I don't just leap right over the edge. I discovered that I had let myself get into some really bad habits, so it's definitely getting back to basics. Journaling here has been extremely helpful.

Christine.... sorry you are having troubles. It is my worst fear to have my restriction taken away! Are you really hungry again? or is it just mind hunger? I am so used to being in the "diet" mentality that I often wonder if it is me doing the work or the band. Guess you find out when the restriction is taken away.
I have heard that quite a few bandsters go to other WLS's. Hope you can get things straightened out. You have enough issues going on right now. Prayers!

Several of those who responded to my call for ideas mentioned that they would like a place to talk about the many challenges that go along with the bariatric surgery journey. For example, some of you know that I recently had to have my Lap Band emptied because I had developed some complications with my esophagus, causing me great discomfort. It's definitely been a challenge to manage my food intake over the last couple of weeks without having the restriction I had grown dependent on.
I welcome your input- this is a place where you can reach out to others and get the support you need when the going gets tough for whatever reason.
