My favorite soup is my own recipe made in a stock pot. Pacific Organic low sodium Vegetable broth. Mixed veggies (whatever I have on hand - some options I've used are carrots, green beans, broccolli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, red/green peppers, baby onions). A bean type or two (I like kidney, black, and cannellini beans). A grain (usually barley or millet). I throw it all together and let it simmer on low for a while. Seasonings I add include garlic, parsley, oregano, pepper, and basil. I don't cook with salt. It's a hodge podge but it always comes out good!
