I just made a 'pudding' out of flax seed meal (brown). 1/4 C meal, 1/4 C water, and one egg. Heat it up for a few minutes on low (or put in the microwave). Add in berries or coconut or nuts/nut butter. Kind of like a cream of wheat. I'm thinking its going to be a great replacement for oatmeal.

I buy flax seed meal, which is just flax seeds ground up. I sprinkle them in my smoothies, or right on my eggs in the morning. I don't taste them in these because the other flavors over power them. I also have added it to chicken that I coat with fiber one cereal ground up.

When eating clean it is a good idea to have a grinder also for nuts to make nut butter. =D
I like to add flax seed to my bread but also to my omlettes and salads. Not always a lot, sometimes just a little sprinkle. They are definitely worth working into your diet for all the health benefits though.

Yeah. The need to be ground up to get the benefits from them. Did you get brown or golden flax? The golden flax has a nice, sweet, honey-ish taste. The brown flax tastes bitter in comparison. You can put into smoothies, sprinkle on top of fruit and yogurt. I also have quite a few recipes that uses flax meal in them. protein bars, flax bread, etc.
