oooooooooh - I like

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

I chop them real fine and add to salads, or slightly larger, into omelettes or stir fries.

Got rid of the ticker cuz my scale decided to flatter me unduly. I haven't re-gained, just got a better, honest, scale.

Just because you steam it, doesn't mean you can't add herbs and spices. (A gripe at those insipid restaurant "healthy choice" menu selections.)

Thanks for the ideas. I'll give the stirfry and pesto a try. I'll let you know what I think.

Love, love, love them!

I make pesto with them, its very strong. I use leftovers as a spread for sandwiches, baked chips, pitas, veggies, etc. I also put leftovers into homemade mac and cheese and other baked dishes. Love it mixed into the cheese between eggplant parm layers.

Google Garlic Scape Pesto for a ton of recipes. I usually just dump a bunch of scapes into my food processor, add some Parmesan, some walnuts, then olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. No big recipes at my house. If its too strong, I'll add some fresh parsley.

I also put it into veggie stir fry. It is so yummy!

Good luck. Let me know what you make and if you become addicted too.

I have never heard of them.

Anyone ever cook with garlic scapes? I got a bunch with my CSA - not sure what to do with them. Thanks.
