As far as I know organ meats are perfectly clean if they come from clean animals. that is, animals who have had been living on natural, organic foods in a naturally clean environment. I personally shy away from eating any part of an animal that had been raised in a confined, crowded, cruel, filthy meat processing operation fed on grains. this is the state of almost all meats found in grocery stores these days.

And "lean" doesn't mean much at all when considering human health. We need clean fats which aren't found in organ meats but in muscle meats.

Hope this helps

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

I've been searching this and I cannot find an answer!!

Is organ meat considered clean, lean protein?? I mean heart, kidney etc.

I have noticed (happily) that we have quite a few newbies and novices asking very basic questions about what makes "clean foods" and how to purchase and prepare them. I think that because of this, those of us who do any research or subscribe to newsletters that furnish us with food facts should, whenever possible, share with the team what they find even if it seems like old news to them.

Reading this article on food colorings triggered a desire in me to get it to this team. Sometimes learning just one thing at a time makes moving ahead a lot easier.
