Oh no - I've never eaten the brown part - no wonder it hurt your stomach!

Ewww! No wonder you didn't like it. I wouldn't eat the brown part.

Huh.
So I was using coconut oil on my hair and skin last night and it smelled so good I decided to give the actual coconut another taste....
It was better last night than the first night. Idk if freezing and then thawing it changed it in any way... it didn't sit in my stomach (as badly) as it had the first time. I think the other thing that made it better was this time, I used a veggie peeler to take the brown part off. The first time I had it, i checked online and everyone said they eat it with the brown part on. Maybe that was why it didn't agree with me the first time.
Anywho.... I'm more interested now in trying different things with it.
Oh and btw... i read coconut oil is very good for dogs and cats too. And since my dog went nuts liking it off my hand last night, I'd say that's a good thing! LOL!

I like the idea of melting dark chocolate and dipping pieces of coconut; YUM! ...oh yeah, we're cutting down on sugar now aren't we...WAY down.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

I make banana milk for my boys and they absolutely love it. It's just banana, milk, coconut and honey.

Put in the blender to make coconut smoothies. Coconut banana, coconut with chocolate, coconut with pineapple or mango.

Thanks. I am thinking of just melting dark chocolate and dipping the pieces.

Oh, I would take them off of your hands, lol! I LOVE to drink the milk from them. I don't normally buy them, so I am sorry, I am at a loss. I remember my mom grating them and using her food dehydrator.

I found this:

thenaughtyvegan.com/coconutmilk.htm

This makes me want to go out and buy a coconut and make this milk! YUMMY!!!

Here is another idea..

Good luck and let us know what you do with them!!

Hmmm I like it raw the best, and don't care for the taste of it dried or in things...

so I got 3 coconuts at the store today. I managed to open 1 and drink the juice (eh.) I also got all the meat out relatively easily. I tried eating it raw. it kind of upset my stomach. I feel like it's just sitting in there. What else can I do with this now that I have it? I don't care for it raw.... any advice or recipes?
