This might be a real consideration. When I lived out in the boonies and with very little money I did my shopping once a month and had to make out a very careful and budgeted list. I even kept a calculator with me as I shopped so I knew exactly how much was in my cart. I would often buddy up with another person and we would share the gas cost. This can be done.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

Once you compare prices figure if it would be best to make one trip a month and stock up on the products you need. Some times shipping can be the same as the trip there and back and you may be able to apply coupons at the brick and mortar location. emoticon

There are a whole lot of good food sources on the web. If you are a meat eater you can get just about anything you want shipped to you if you are willing to pay for it. I order, every year or two, a case of canned tuna from:
www.vitalchoice.com/index.cfm

Here are a few more sites. But really, since you know what you like to eat you ought to Google around. If you aren't sure that a site is trustworthy come back here and ask. We might be able to give you some tips before you order.

Amazon.com has a lot of great stuff. We use them quite often. They have a pretty big natural/organic grocery section.

I live in PODUNK! No really! Our closest health food store is 45 miles away so I need to do more online shopping. I am trying to find one site where I can get guar gum, agave nectar, olive oil soap etc all from the same place. Being reasonably priced would be great too! Does anyone have any good site suggestions? It would save me a long drive and lots of gas! THANK YOU!!
