I think two of the things that have helped me the most in the past - and that I should be focusing on myself right now (hmmmm.....) - are portion control and drinking enough water. The water really does flush your system. When I first started seriously dieting a couple years ago, I made sure to get in that 64 oz each day, and I lost 7 or 8 lbs the very first week!
