How do you get the lemon under your tongue? Is there any easy trick to that?

I have been really sick with a faucet for a nose, sore throat and cough for several days. I found putting a drop of Lemon under my tongue soothed my throat and helped me feel better. I tied to keep the straight lemon off the top of my tongue because it would sting but the dilution it received under the tongue made it possible to be in my mouth.
I use this for many many different things which includes: drinking it to make water in the morning taste better (for some reason since I was 13 I can't stomach water in the morning. I can if I force myself but it just doesn't taste the same as it does at 10 am.), use it in my diffuser and clean with it oh and mix it with peppermint and lavender for allergies. What are some other uses or what have you used it for?
