I also use Lavender on areas that are healing and itching. It stops the itch without intense scratching.

I put lavender oil in a spray bottle with distilled water and spray it over my bed before sleep.
They also spray it at the end of yoga class when we are in shavasana.

Lavender is supposed to reduce cortisol.
Which is what you need to help fall asleep... or relax.

Good discussions ladies! Keep it up. I use lavender on my feet and diffused. Also for allergies you can mix it with lemon and peppermint in water and drink it. I love these oils because although some doTERRA oils you can't ingest, there are other brands that you can never ingest!

I mix a few drops of the lavender with the doTERRA hand & body lotion and rub it on my feet before I go to bed. I also use it aromatically in my diffuser when I go to bed. I alternate between using lavender and Serenity in my diffuser. They both help to relax me and help me sleep better.

I have the 4th edition too.

I put lavender on the bottom of my feet to help me sleep. Just put a few drops on and let it dry for about 30 seconds before you step on your foot or put it under the covers. It really does help me sleep! I have also been using it aromatically. I have a difusser (Can't spell this morning!) and it helps me stay relaxed and sleep better when I go to bed.

I too have a modern essentials book. Do you have the 4th edition?? That is the new book out last year. It has the new oils they have come out with in the last year in it.

Lavender is great for relaxing. If having trouble falling asleep it is suggested to put a few drops on a tissue or cotton ball and then put it under your pillow. It also helps relieve anxiety.
