I tried to stand on my feet all day today at work.. had missed my morning walk and felt like I was really missing out.. 8 hours although on the ol' feet is something else..

Tomorrow I will have my morning WALK for sure

Wish I could talk my boss into standing meetings - my butt gets sore and I'm restless by the end of some of our meetings (and feel less "adult" when I'm the one fidgeting in my chair!)

When I'm sitting at home, I try to use my balance ball instead of a stable chair - it was recommended by a chiropractor to keep my lower back stronger and help me avoid the pain that took me to him in the first place.

I did most of my day standing today! Instead of participating in the working group sitting and was up on my feet! In my job, I cannot change the setting of my working area however, when we have small group mtgs (and I am the lead !!!) I can easily stand (almost like delivering a guide discussion/lecture in front of a small class...)

I feel more energized that way... I will emoticon

My hubby built me a table to put my keyboard and mouse on for our desk top computer. It is working out really well!
I am finding that I move my feet side to side as I stand to read emails and blogs. I feel so much better than if I was sitting:)

Try this...
1) Spend less time sitting...
- at work: find occasion to stand
- during your free time

2) Move it - as you are standing, try to take extra steps!
