I know of a few other people who have meetings on Monday or Tuesday and they say it actually helps them to stay on track over the weekend. We don't weigh in until Thursday so I always know I have a few days to undo any damage I did on the weekend. I wasn't perfect this past weekend but I did better than some other weekends. I used my exercise bike for a half hour on Saturday evening. On Sunday we worked in our garden all day, so I did lots of bending and used muscles I am not used to using. I was a little sore in the evening and not really up to doing much. but I made myself do 15 minutes on the exercise bike. I figured that was better than nothing.

Weekends have to be aware of calories as TOPS chapter meets Monday 11 a.m.
Admit to having treats on Monday evening and sometimes Tuesday

Great topic! It was not what I was expecting when I saw T.G.I.F.! I am one of those that gets off track on the weekends. During the work week I have a routine that includes an hour or more of walking, but on the weekends I have no set schedule and the walking never seems to happen. For a while I was being pretty good about using my exercise bike in the evenings if I hadn't done any walking, but I have really been slacking on that in recent months too. Meals tend to be less regular and often higher in calories than other days, depending on where we are and what we are doing. I often find myself seeing a gain on the scale on Monday mornings and I have to work to get it back down by Thursday evening when we weigh in. My plan now is to make sure I do SOMETHING for exercise on the weekends. On days that I am at home I will use the exercise bike in the evening if I didn't do something during the day. On days that we are camping or staying somewhere else I will have to find something else. I will also concentrate on being more aware of what I eat on the weekends- no eating half a bag of chips when we have a cookout just because it is the weekend!

Yes, we all need encouragement.......even us KOPS!! So, we need to keep it movin.......especially away from the temptations in the kitchen!! Believe, too that YOU CAN DO IT!!!

for me ---

my suggestion is to eat better -- not to give into my temptation "I can have this -- it's Saturday"

and related to exercise -- find something "extra" to do related to fitness -- just because it's Sunday.

I don't think I've the only one that let's the weekend become a stumbling block to becoming a KOPS!

I know I've had some folks share with me about being in a slump .. not where they want to be.

How many of us let down our guard a little on the weekends?

Push ourselves a little less when it comes to exercise.
