New food. This can be a new fruit, veggie, seeds, meat, anything you have never tried before that is healthy.
Personally, I feel that if you are trying something new and don't want to waste money or food, it might be best to buy the smallest amount available and go with the Girl Scout 'no thank you'' serving - a tablespoonful. if you do like it, as so happens for me with fruits and veggies, you will know! Sometimes you may have to try several different ways of preparing something before determining a yes or no or even a so-so.
New exercise - any you haven't tried. Check the tracker suggestions for new ones and Coach Nicole's videos.
New Sport or game. Many of the articles here on Spark give lots of good suggestions and I'm sure even some of our members can tell you about some of them should you have questions before you decide. As long as it is something you never tried, it's a go!
New things to match the new you - a haircut you never tried, new make-up in new colors, a new outfit in a style you have never worn but always wanted to try.
Watch a new TV series while walking in place during commercials or on your gym equipment to help time go faster.
Pick a new hiking trail or a place to walk you never tried but have always wanted to.
Try changing up your Spark setting to something new. ie: add a cup of water total, lower the high end of your amount of calories by 25 - 50 to see what happens for the week.
Try to discover something new on the web to try to help you. Be sure whatever it is, it is safe. Perhaps you'll find a new recipe!!
Try a new to you craft.
If you like to read, try a different genre. ie: if all you read is fiction, try a new biography or self-help.
If you have ever written something, try it! ie: poem, short story, essay.
Try keeping a journal of your feelings about this challenge! or keep yourself accountable by starting a Spark blog and post about it each week.
Sign up for a class to learn something new. There are free ones on the web, plus a lot of Spark members teach different types of classes. If you can teach something, let others on our team know!
Try preparing a food you like in a new way.
If you have never gardened, try it.
Try a new exercise equipment type - bike, rowing machine, treadmill, etc.
Try something new on Spark. ie: radio, videos, events, keeping points, etc.
Be a new mentor to a new Spark member, someone at church, at school, in your neighborhood.
Early detection saves lives. It did mine!
