sick as a dog this week and have very limited control over what I am eating since many meals are at my in laws this week. I have a double ear infection, pink eye, a sinus infection and laryngitis. And since I had super high powered antibiotics less than 3 months ago (because of bronchitis turned pneumonia that had me on on them for like a month) I can't take strong antibiotics, like a z-pack... I have to take the longer 10 day course. So, I have no relief yet.

Hoping that losing so much power this week doesn't screw my weigh in on Friday. I'm being as careful as I can be from here on out with my food.

Look on the bright side. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe you weren't suposed to be there. AND me? I'm sitting on sides of the road right now, waiting for the AAA guy to come toe my car to the mechanic, because it shut down. Thank God for AAA and thank God for my smartphone to occupy me, and thank God for this nice warm day so that I don't haveto freeze my butt off waiting yes yes yes ROFL! :-)

You're gonna have an awesome anniversary weekend at home anyway, because you're with everyone who matters most :-)

Baby girl has pink eye. We have to cancel our anniversary weekend. Good bye, Crowne Plaza. Good bye Fogo De Chao. Good bye brunch at 14K.

I'm so depressed. I'm seriously seriously disappointed. I've not had alone time in 3 weeks. Not even for a long run. (Which is really putting my training for my HM back! YIKES!) I needed this weekend... and instead, I get to wipe eyes and noses.

140.6... but I don't know that I trust it. I was 142.6 yesterday. And I ate pie for pi day... so, I guess we will see what next week holds.

I've decided that I'm actually done trying to lose weight, though. I'm content. I'm at a healthy weight, right smack dab in the middle of "healthy" BMI wise. I'm a size 4/6. I'm fit. And, sure, I could probably lose more weight by eating GREEN all the time, but I know the reason I'm sane right now is because I ate a small amount of ice cream every night this week. For sure, I'm sticking out this challenge, because its been good for me... even though the only person in it... is me. It's kept my relatively focused these last months.

I'm going to keep eating the way I am, and training the way I am for my back to back HMs. I feel this level of training is long term maintainable. And that is important. I haven't passed out once. I used to pass out at 127 frequently while training for HM because in order to maintain that weight, I didn't eat what I needed to. And I don't want to be that way again. I thought that being 133 would be maintainable and prevent that... but, right now, I'm not sure it is. It still may be too small for me.

My goal weight is now going to be... whatever I weigh on May 10, give or take 2.5lbs each way. That is 1 week after my 2nd HM for recovery.

Yeah... it may disqualify me... but I'm not weighing in today. It's Auntie Flo is in town. I'm moody. I'm bloated like mad. I have worked HARD the last 8-10 days and I *know* based on my mid-week weigh in (I had gained 3 lbs on Wednesday), that I'm up about 6 lbs (far more bloated today than then) and I can't handle that this morning.

OMG... those Fiber one 90 calorie soft chocolate chip cookies are THE BEST! They were the one Fiber One thing I did buy yesterday. I'd eat them even if they weren't Fiber One. But, I was buying the granola type bars, the brownies, the cereal, the cookies... they were on sale at Wegman's and I had coupons... so it was SO cheap and easy and calorie affordable... and now, I realize that I was eating like 90% of the RDA of fiber through Fiber One everyday, on top of all the freggies I already eat... and the half a spoon of benifiber I toss in my coffee every morning... yeah... I just worry that I will get "used" to it again. So, I'm cutting back, over the next few weeks to let my body re-adjust and then save those cookies for treats, not poo-aids. :)

I used to eat those Fiber one bars a lot a year ago. I had to cut it out too.. addictive plus I didn't realize how much my abs bloated with them. I only eat them need every now and then as a treat lol. Did you knows they have Fiber one chocolate soft baked cookies now? OMG lol

142 even again.
This week has been interesting. Another great workout week. A better week than last on my nutrition, but still working on it. February has been the longest month EVER (which is weird, because it's so short!) and I'm really glad it's over.
Something like 4 years ago, I got physically addicted to Fiber One. It came to the point where I went through some serious intestinal issues when I quit. I now only use it when I travel because I always get constipated when I travel. Like I did earlier this month. And then I went nutty on buying stuff and liking it and my body has gotten used to the fake fiber again and now I'm going to have to wean myself off it and hope I don't get all constipated again. I didn't buy the cereal yesterday. No more fiber one cereal for breakfast. That's my first cut. We'll go from there.

a bit discouraged. Hopefully it's a blip. 144.0

a week of travel, no exercise, lots of eating out and my period. Yuck. I've been back a few days, then was dealing with a little sick boy. Started working out again yesterday. But, my eating remained junk for a couple days, since my hubby didn't do any grocery shopping while I was gone and with a sick boy, I couldn't go. Went grocery shopping yesterday, too... so hopefully... back on track and will begin making progress again. I wrote a blog the other day about where I am at emotionally if you want to read more.

As a NSV however, I didn't snack last night. I always want to munch in the evenings, even when I'm not hungry. Well, I wasn't hungry. I went to the cupboard, pulled out the crackers, and put them back, because I realized I wasn't actually hungry and it was habit and one I need to break.

I weighed in mid week this week to see what is going on... since I haven't eaten in 5 days. So, the 5 day flu diet results are 140.4. I doubt that will remain off since I'm slowly starting to eat again and there is a hell food weekend coming up. Amelia's first birthday is Friday. My hubby's office "winter party" is Saturday (the wanted to bring back the Christmas party, post recession, but venues are super pricey at holiday time, so now it is a "winter-fest" as a compromise!) And the Ravens are playing in the SuperBowl on Sunday. Food hell weekend!!!!

Let's just hope my diminished stomach capacity and slightly queasiness holds me in check! And will power, of course.

30 min workout after 5 days off was hard. More mental than physical, but still hard.I caved because I started getting bubbly tummy at 30, instead of 60 like normal.

Oh, nothing special. Just mint, or orange, or lemon or that kind of thing. I just try and keep my fluids up and hydration going. I am not a big believer in too much mumbo jumbo about detoxing. I think the liver and kidneys do a great job of detoxing our bodies and so as long as we keep the fake stuff to a minimum and keep them hydrated, we don't need to worry too much about it. I absolutely know about micro nutrients and antioxidants and I try to eat a wide variety of foods to meet those!

I know that feeling! I usually gain about 3-5lbs of water weight during that time. What kind of herbal tea are you drinking. I like to drink lemon/lime water every morning as it helps stimulate the liver for fatty acid metabolism AND both lemons and limes are on the top of the list concerning powerful antioxidants and anti-microbials...bla bla bla I know lol

Midweek check in. I expect no progress on the scale this week. My "ladies time" kicked my TAIL this last week... No end. I've also started a new routine and I've got some serious soreness. Nothing extreme, but I'm drinking tons of water and herbal tea to try and flush the remains of it all out of my system!

Got it. 12lbs is very attainable. You can do it! Remember, this challenge uses the percentage to compare weight loss. Did you see how The Biggest Loser" is incorporating the percentage in it's weigh-in segment of the show? I don't know about you, but I'm so glad this is being done, because it gives everyone a more even playing field.

Example:

Your starting weight is 145.0 and you want to lose 12lbs. 12lbs is 8.3% of 145lbs. So, you've got 8.3% of your weight to lose. One pound at a time!

We still have ZERO takers for the Biggest Loser Challenge (Winter 2013). Remember, prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. This would be an easy win if there's at least 1 participant. AND, what a great time to start the team challenge...the new season of Biggest Loser begins tonight! Let's go team!!!

POST WEEKLY To Biggest Loser Challenge Thread with your weigh in updates.

What: Lose the most weight.
When: January 1, 2013 - March 31, 2013
Where: Online: PG County Health & Fitness team
Why: You'll win a prize!

Details

Get fit, reach your goal, and have fun at the same time! Here's why:

One (1st place) winner will receive an awesome prize (not telling).
One (2nd place) winner will also receive an awesome prize (still not telling).
One (3rd place) winner will receive an awesome prize (don't ask).

To win, be the person who loses the largest percentage (yes, percentage, because that gives everyone the same playing field) of weight over 12 weeks. Even if you don’t have a lot of weight to lose, your weight loss percentage will be comparable to anyone who does.

RULES:

1) Post your official 1st weigh-in on or before January 1, 2013. Included should be a shot of your feet on the scale, and the weight should be visible for all to see!

2) Contest starts on Jan.1st 2013

3) Send your weigh-in pictures to me (ovhenderson) at ovhenderson@ohfitnessllc.com. Why? Because Sparkpeople does not have a picture post feature in its' forums. I will send a collage update full of pictures and stats for everyone to see in the forum. I'll tag it to a link for you to click on. No head shots needed unless you want to.


4) EVERY week, come back to the official thread and post your current weight. You do NOT have to send a picture every weekend. You only need to send your final March 31st weigh in. Don't worry. I'll send a reminder. I'll send the final before and after collage with stats by April 2, 2013.

5) Pictures sent after March 31st will not count. Send all pictures to ovhenderson at ovhenderson@ohfitnessllc.com

6) Winners will be picked and contacted for address to send prizes to. U.S. only, due to shipping costs for ovhenderson.

7) Everyone must post their weight every weekend. You are allowed to skip up to 3 weekends before being disqualified. Each missed weekend will be counted as a strike.
