I would LOVE to do this race. One of my goals this year is to be able to walk 3 miles without pain. I'm not quite there yet so I won't be able to do this one. However, I would love to try the next one. Keep us posted. Good luck tomorrow and have fun!

"January 12 (Saturday) Brier Creek 5K 5,000 meters 8 am Contact: Jennifer Wrigley at jwrigley@tollbrothersinc.com.

One thing you will not need to worry about at this race is cars getting on the course. The race is run on the cart paths of the beautiful Arnold Palmer golf course at Brier Creek.

The entry fee is $25, After January 10th, the fee is $30 up to and including race day. In addition to a long-sleeved t-shirt, the fee also includes a post race continental breakfast of muffins, foods and drink inside the luxurious Clubhouse.

Due to the nature of the course, the event is limited to 300 entries.

Awards will be given to the first three males and females in the following age groups: 14 and under and 15-over.

Late entries can register and pre-registered entrants can pick up their packets on Friday, the 11th, from 10 am 2 pm at the Brier Creek Fitness Center or from 5:30 7 pm at the Brier Creek Swim Tennis Pavilion. Late entries can register and pre-registered entrants can also pick up their packets on race day at the Clubhouse beginning at 7 am. The Clubhouse is located at 9400 Clubhill Drive.

Profits from the race will be donated to the American Cancer Society."

I'm going to walk this 5k race. Its a little over 3 miles. Lets get a group of Spark People and walk it together. I know its short notice but I thought it might be fun. Reply to this Topic if you are coming. Hope to see you there.
