I love being a nurse today because after an extremely busy day one of my patients family members wrote me a note and left it on my desk that said "Hey Sara - you are AWESOME!!! Thank you so much for the kind wonderful job you do!!!" It made my day.
We lost a member of our staff today. She's been with the company for YRS! I've only had the pleasure of knowing her for 8 months. She had a fire and a life in her that you couldn't help but notice. She is very much missed by all of us.
So today, I love being a nurse for the hard moments and the sad times that make you evaluate your life and strive to live it to the fullest!

I love being a nurse because I truly feel with have the gift and opportunity to impact a patient and his family in a deep and meaningful way. I feel it is a gift to me to be allowed into the intimate circle of the family, and be able to impact in such a special way...After all... MDs are not making the patient comfortable, holding a hand, and seeing to the personal needs! :)
Karen, I find its the difficult ones I usually like the best. I admire the stubborn and bull-headed. The extra picky take warming up too. I enjoy the challenge they offer in caring for them and the victory I feel when I win them over!
I enjoy my patients. Sometimes I even end up enjoying the difficult ones and developing a good rapport. I enjoy making them more comfortable and also the times that they talk to me about their lives and their concerns. There is no other job Id rather do but I wish we were staffed better.
