emoticon Hi Sparky - I'm still working on this challenge. So far I have managed 10 up, 5 hold, 5 up, and 3 down, 3 hold, and then down to the ground. Whew! this is harder than I thought! But I hope by the end of the month to have improved so much I will have mastered this. I do them first thing in the morning after I get up and dressed.

Hi Yvonne! You are pretty close to what a 10 sec push up is; 10 seconds in plank, 10 seconds down, 10 seconds hold, 10 seconds back up. Depending on how you feel or who you talk to, some might say 10 down, 10 hold, 10 up is good, or some might say 10 plank, 10 down, 10 hold, 10 up, 10 hold is good. IMHO, if you get the 10-10-10 (down, hold, up), I'd be very proud of ya!

emoticon Hi Sparky - thanks for posting this challenge. I will take this on - a 10 second pushup. Not quite sure what this means. In the beginner and intermediate DDPYOGA plan, we begin with a plank which we hold for 10 seconds, go down for 3 seconds and hold and then either go down for a cobra or go up and repeat and then go down. Are the 10 seconds referring to the start or to increasing the 3 seconds to 10?

In any case, this is an interesting challenge. Happy to have you aboard and looking forward to more of your posts.

We're baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Thanks to a good group of Regular Guys, we are rebooting the Warrior Zone and WiT Groups, and it starts NOW with a January PUSH UP CHALLENGE!!!

For the WiTs, we are challenging you to achieve a 10 second push up! The first part of this challenge is giving you the REST of the month of January to achieve a 10 second push up by JANUARY 31st. CAN YOU DIG IT?! That's over 20 days to get to 1, yes, 1 TEN SECOND PUSH UP.

If you can dig that, then let us know and INK IT BELOW! Once you get your 10 second push up mastered post up a video of you nailing it on Vimeo, or YouTube or your other favorite social media app! Tag it up with the hash tag #DDPYOGACHALLENGE so everyone can find it. And, don't forget to Tweet it to @DDPYOGA so everyone can see it!

Want to take the WiT January CHALLENGE TITLE? Then take the EXTREME modifier and see how MANY 10 second push ups you can do in a row. Winner gets bragging rights going into the next challenge!

If 10 seconds is too much right now, then bump back to 5, and give it a shot! What are you waiting for get out there and PUSH IT!!!
