So an update on my fitbit. I still like it a lot but it sure does tell me that I sit on my butt too much! I am glad that it does because it encourages me to get up and get those steps in. I also like the sleep tracker. I am seeing how much I am really sleeping.

I have not reached 10,000 steps in a day yet but my best day was 6000+ so I have some work to do. I know I will get there if I focus on the goal. Right now my goal is to be consistent with 5000 steps a day. I have done it a few times but it is definitely not consistent.

So far, I am remembering to put it on and I check it throughout the day to see where I am. I like to set a goal while I watch tv to get up and march or jog in place during the commercials. I set a goal of 300 or 400 steps before I can sit down again. It is a challenge some times to get them all in during the commercial break so I just keep going until I get to the goal then I can sit again until the next break. That gets me up and moving several times during a show. No more just sitting on my butt and watching tv.

How long are you going to sit on your butt and whine about your weight? Get up and do something about it!!

I just got one last week as an early Christmas present from my son. He was nice and let me have it early! emoticon

I really like it. It is motivating me to get up and get some movement done. That is great in itself.
