I've been struggling with eating out. On at least two occasions eating out led to eating everything. I think I lost sight of the fact that I'm eating vegan, not just to lose weight, but to overcome arthritis and diabetes. So back to vegan. I may quit tracking, because the high calorie limit encourages me to eat more than I might otherwise. If that doesn't work, but leads to ever more food, I'll start up again. I'm still feeling my way. I haven't been losing much lately, and the main cause is eating out. It is not good for my budget, either.

I want to treat each day as the only day I have to work my plan. If I don't work my plan today, then tomorrow I will be one day behind.
What things are your struggling with the most on your weight loss journey? What is your plan to turn it around?
1. The things I have been struggling with are nutrition & exercise as well as tracking. Until the last few days, I wasn't tracking my food. I got lazy about it and then I just didn't want to do it because I didn't want to face the fact that I was eating junk food. I gave up on exercise and have struggled to keep it up ever since. As mentioned before, I was eating lots of junk food so I continued to be hungry because those foods don't satisfy me for the long haul.
2. My plan for turning it around is to Just Do It! I have got to track no matter what the outcome is. I have to know what I am eating and how much I am eating. I have tracked 6/7 days so far this month so that is progress. I am tracking at the time of my meal so that I don't forget and not do it.
As far as exercise, I have exercised 6/7 days this month! I am excited to see that. I know that I broke my streak but the fact that I have exercised more than the days that I missed, that is a great feeling for progress. My plan is to do at least 15 minutes but work up to doing 45 minutes of cardio daily and 3 days of ST each week.
Nutrition - well this one is probably the hardest for me. I know what I need to be doing but have not done it completely. I was stuck in the "everything in moderation" mindset and well I had the everything part down but moderation just wasn't on the menu! lol So my plan for changing this is to have regular scheduled meals and snacks throughout the day. I have to spread out my meals throughout the day so that I am not getting hungry. I plan to really increase my freggie intake so that I am getting the vitamins I need. I will eat balanced meals and cut down on red meat. I plan to cook my meats in bulk so that I have it on had.
I am also doing a challenge for the Christmas season that will keep me accountable. I have a friend lined up to check in with daily with my progress. She is prepared to open a can of whoop a$$ on me when I need a kick in the butt.
So far, I have lost 4 pounds since the beginning of the month! That is the direction I want to go! Woo hoo!
