I wear these big, floppy, very wide brimmed hats in the summer to keep the sun off of me. My husband is usually a bit embarassed for me but I think it is quirky and fun. I don't wear them otherwise. LOL I'll have my hat on in Jamaica for sure. It is Kermit The Frog green and so good at keeping my shoulders, face and chest protected.

Interesting that not too many people favor hats. I wear a kerchief when I don't feel like showering and washing my hair, straw hat in the sun. Thank goodness don't need a winter hat at this time but if I did I have several toques.
