I would prefer moderation but that is impossible for me. I am in recovery from a 30 year eating disorder and also have an issue with mega cravings for certain things ( sugar, wheat, chocolate, potato chips, etc ), so 'just a little ' never works, alas.
Think occasionally of the suffering of which you spare yourself the sight.

Anything lives in my home, I just have to use moderation. When I think about this I think about alcohol. I am a recovering alcoholic and my husband isn't and there is alcohol in my home. It no longer bothers me.

I'll ring this bell a fourth time. There are foods I will not bring into the house. It just tempts me until finally I cave.
Funny thing......I was stuck at 222 before my binge for almost 2 weeks. Now I am down to 220. Go figure. I wonder if I am still eating too few calories for my workout level?????I am afraid to try adding more.

Some foods are definitely off limits and can't live here. It is bad enough that they live anywhere but as long as they are not easy to reach I guess I can live with it. If they are in my cupboard or fridge they sing a siren song to me and I respond hypnotically.
"The world is one country and mankind its citizens" one of the many truths spoken by Baha'u'llah and "Love is the light that guideth in darkness, the living link that uniteth God with man, that assureth the progress of every illumined soul."
I'll say anything in moderation but there are foods that don't live in my home with me. They can't. They don't realize that I am the voice of authority here. And until they do, they can't reside here. I can eat them at your house, I can eat them at a restaurant, but they can't live with me. It's a rule.
