emoticon emoticon Good morning everyone!

I have completed my information for December 1st on my original post. My only thought is that the dishes that came from the store, were too salty. My family uses the salt substitute "NoSalt". We'll have to watch out better for Christmas.

I hope everyone had all of the successes that you anticipated and desired.

See ya for the next challenge. Thanks everyone for being a friend!

Have a blessed day and wonderful journey to the new you!

Thanks Patti for the acknowledgment and encouraging words.

Ramona, I agree with you… It is just one day out of seven days and even though it is a holiday we can all still succeed. As my mother used to say "it all works out in the wash."

All team members remember this:

Hang tough Pattie...we can all continue to lose. Remember, Thanksgiving is just 1 (ONE) day...NOT THE WHOLE WEEK!

You guys are great. Look at you all in here supporting each other. What a team!!!!

Joanie, I understand. I had my doctor appointment a couple weeks ago!
Madeline, you're doing great...an apple for dessert!
Paula, I'm so glad you joined us. You're a good cheerleader, too.

Yesterday I said I thought I'd have a gain because of last week. I've never been so glad to be wrong! I actually lost a pound! Yay, me! Wonder If I'll be able to say that next week???

Hooray, Paula! You did a great job, and you were rewarded with a nice loss. We all know that the nice loss doesn't ALWAYS follow immediately...sometimes we have to wait while our bodies adjust. But isn't it great when it is there to cheer you on!!!! Good for you.

I stayed in my range, but I think I'll have a gain tomorrow, when I officially weigh in. See, I read a blog or an article or something that got me thinking about my range. I had set it at 1200-1550, and it had been working. After reading about it, I worried that later, I might need to lower the calories and wouldn't have any leeway to lower it. So, I did a goal reset thing in Spark and they set my goal at 1360-1710. So I decided to take it. After all it wasn't THAT much higher. So then I proceeded to be a little sick most of the week...not badly sick, but just enough to have no energy and NOT do much in the line of activity for 5 days. So, I ate at the new higher range, but didn't do the exercise. DUH! Maybe I didn't give the new range a fair try, but I think I'm going back to my old range that was working well for me.

I wish the rest of you luck here. There is only one more week, but it's a doozy!

emoticon emoticon Howdy! From the DFW area of Texas!

I know that I am late, but I just read the email which was probably sent to me when the challenge first started.I would like to jump in and join if it isn't really all that late.Due to my dementia since my brain hemorrhage that I previously had, I still don't always remember how to navigate on all the teams to find all the challenges… It's just my style now! I'm just now remembering to check my email every time I'm on the spark.

"Home on the Holiday Range" challenge:
emoticon

My calorie range is around 1200 cal per day.
emoticon

November 10… Although I was not officially into the challenge on this date, I do know, by my tracking, that I was within calorie range for six days of that week.

November 17… emoticon 7 days tracking and on range with no weight gain

November 24… emoticon 7 days tracking & on range...lost 2 pounds

December 1… emoticon 7 days tracking & on range....barely..too salty dishes...even

I will return to this, my original post, to put my statistics.I'm so excited about this, as my journey is beginning to pick back up and be working again after all of this summer through August and part of September of having numerous medical issues and medication changes that the Dr. even pre-apologized for knowing that it would make me gain weight.Since August 8 (please read my blog on that date) I have now lost 20 pounds back down towards my original goal that was set by my Dr.

Good luck every body and let's all shine on December 1st.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Have a blessed day and wonderful journey to the new you!

Hey, Calorie Watchers! I’m here to let you know that we have a new team goal! The new goal is this:

Stay within your calorie range on your tracker 1 day 6 times per week

And, to get us all started, we’re going to have a related challenge! It will start this Monday and run for 4 weeks, ending on December 1.

“Home on the Holiday Range Challenge.”

The rules are simple. They are:

1. Track what you eat each day.
2. Stay within your calorie range.
3. Come back here and update your post to tell us how many days you were "Home on the Holiday Range.".

I think we all have a couple similar goals. They would be to lose weight and get healthier. Sticking to our calorie range as often as possible is one way to accomplish that. And since we are “Calorie Watchers”, it seems a good way get through the holidays. The goal is set at 6 days a week to give a little leeway, which we may need over these holiday months.

I hope you’ll join the team goal. I believe it can help us all. But, even if you don’t want to join the team goal, I hope you’ll join this challenge. Each day that you can stick to your calorie range will help you make it through the holiday season without gaining weight. We can all encourage each other by doing it together.

So come along and feel at “Home on the Holiday Range”.
