I was doing so well - even on Saturday, which is surprising since weekends are always a challenge. And then we had a mishap at home Sunday morning and I didn't get to eat very much and when I did, it was NOT healthy veggies and fruit! I'm getting back on track today!

I'm battling with emotional eating, too - very annoying, but winning more battles, lately!

I am doing good with the veggie. I just need to eat more than fruit and veggies on the weekend. I seem to just snack on them instead of eating my regular meals. I have no problem during the week. On the weekend I really have to force myself to eat.

This week has been two separate days of me giving into cravings. My oh my, I guess it's emotional eating. I like to be in denial, but the only way to win is to get honest. I started journaling, and we need to stay on it until a mental break thru. Today was a better day. I actually cut some veggies up anticipating tomorrow ... Planning is key for me. Sometimes unexpected life shows up, and I had a 0 veggie day yesterday because I wasn't anticipating life showing up.
Today things were quiet and I was able to concentrate on preparing veggies in a delicious stir fry. Hopefully everyone stays healthy, and proper nutrition will continue to be a main focus.

It sounds like you are working too much and stressed out. I eat more when I am under stress and just don't care. Take time to walk during the day and take healthy snacks to work. Take time for yourself!!

it's hard to see past the plateau when you are hoping you see something moving in the direction you want it to week by week. I've been disappointed to see that i'm not loosing as quickly as I wanted to also, but if you are watching what you eat and exercising, I have to keep telling myself that muscle weighs more than fat! Take Measurements! it's the only way I can see improvement. I've been 10 weeks working on this like crazy and have only lost 10 lbs, but i've also lost 10 inches. Keep going, the struggle is worth it!
Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels! (except girl-scout cookies, of which I have had way too much of this week!!!)

I'm getting my veggies in more than ever and I pay more attention to veggies at the store. I almost have to police my every move ,since I'm an emotional overeater, but I'm trying to work on finding different outlets instead of eating.

I have the same issues...need to plan, plan and plan, and learn to say no, no, no...I've been an emotional roller coaster myself. Keep focused on the big picture, we'll get there!

This has not been my best week, but I have learned a lot about myself. I must stay on track and plan, plan, plan. My step-daughter's house caught fire and I had a death in my family. Too much emotional eating. Today, not tomorrow, I get back on track. emoticon

My strange, weird and hormonal week - with over eating and under exercising somehow ended in a 2 pound loss. Weird - definitely. But a loss is a loss and I am back on track!

Thanks for all the response. I have to say - I do plan each and every meal (3 per day) as well as 2 snacks for every day pre-portioned and everything. It was simply hormones --- nothing satisfied -- I had un healthy cravings and rather than give into them --- I over ate the healthy things --- and yes you can over eat healthy stuff.

All is well

Planning snacks has helped me keep on track-I will pack them the night before so I do not have to think too much in the morning--just grab and go to work.
I also bought one of those insualted water bottles with a straw they hold 25oz and put it next to fridge and fill and go.
Quirky I know but it helps remind me and it makes it less boring to get my H2O in-- emoticon

Keep snacks with you that you can eat in between meals. If you wait too long in between meals you will eat more at your next meal. You will not feel as hungry if you eat every 2-3 hours. Maybe you could carry tail mix or a low calorie bar with you to eat as snacks. They don't need to be kept cold.

I was eating a lot last week. I had to look at other things that were going on emotionally that was causing me to over eat. I was still exercising so it did not ruin my weight loss.

Peace and Blessings!

At this time of the year, it also could be a seasonal depression try and get some more vitamin D and B 6 stress to help you feel better which would get you going and getting more active and not eating as much

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much

I know, I hear ya, and I feel the same way. Plateau or a gain is what it's been for me lately. What I've been trying to do is eat alot more veggies and that can take the place of more fattening snacks and part of my meals. Also, I'm trying to exercise more to get sweating more instead of just loping along!! emoticon Yes, we can!! Good luck to you!!

I'm starting my ticker over with going low carb.

I do not know what is going on with me this week - I just cannot seem to get my eating under control. I don't know if I am waiting too long to eat and then over stuffing, or what. I keep track of everything - and it is too much. Working 10 -12 hours does not help things along - but really. I need to get some changes going or this stupid plateau is going to turn in to a gain.
