I like bananas, apples, nectarines, strawberries and watermelon for snacks but usually too expensive so mostly eat bananas since can get them for 19 cents per pound on Tuesdays and
Thursdays. Veggies I usually eat carrots and celery for snacks but many others at meal time.

I'd have to say my favorite fruit right now is pineapple. I have been eating it with a serving of fat-free cottage cheese everyday.

I pretty much like all veggies but for snacking I tend to pick raw cauliflower and cucumbers. But I love, love, love colored bell peppers as well.

Life is a journey. Buckle up Buttercup!

CHALLENGEME4, do you eat your zucchini raw or cooked?
I like the zucchini cooked with tomato salsa and corn.

DB1167, how do you eat the snap peas? Plain?

BUNNYKICKS, Ataulfo mangos are the best, in my opinion, of course.

CONNIEBUG, I definitely am going to try your Fettuccine Alfredo version.

CMW405, I'll have to make a salsa like yours. I'm a little bored of the same vinaigrette.

My rotation for veggie snacks lately has been:
Organic baby carrots - so tender!
Raw cauliflower with a veggie/fruit salsa I make in big batches and divided into single servings (mango, avocado, jalapeno, and key lime juice)
Sliced tomatoes from my garden with the same salsa mentioned above

Fruit snacks lately:
Green apples and peanut butter
Red Grapes

I also incorporate at least one fruit and veggie into each of my meals.

I enjoy all fruits and they are often my go to snack. I'm not that big on snacking on veggies. I guess I still have the mentality that those are usually as a side for a meal.

I like all vegetable, but I especially love roasted vegetables--asparagus, beets, parsnips, carrots, brussel sprouts, potatoes, etc. It sweetens them without adding any sugar. I brush them with just a touch of olive oil and a sprinkle of salt and toss them in a hot oven while I'm getting the rest of the dinner ready. I usually make extra so I have leftovers for another day or 2. If I'm pressed for time, I'll nuke them in the microwave just to get the cooking started, then put them in the oven.

I'm not sure I can pick a favourite. I like most veggies a lot - the exception may be eggplant (I say may because I've had things with eggplant cooked in them that I enjoyed).

I love most fruits, the only exception that I found was some form of red fleshed fruit they have in the buffets at all inclusive resorts. I think it may be papaya. It was hate at first bite.

I guess my favourites are ones that are very fresh and in season - for example I love fresh peaches and pears but don't care so much for them when they are tinned.

I love fresh cauliflower and hummus as a quick snack.

If I have a little more time, I will use a vegetable peeler to peel strips of zucchini until I reach the seeds. I saute one zucchini's worth with one wedge of Laughing Cow cheese, until the cheese melts and coats the zuke. It tastes so much like Fettuccine Alfredo, but with on about 30 calories!
