What I did when I started was list about 5 healthy habits I wanted to change - if I did them 5 out of 7 days - I got a non-food reward. It worked really well.
Examples of what I used - water, 10 min exercise, bedtime yoga, etc.
First goal - 20 lbs off Second goal - 10 lbs off Third goal - 10 lbs off Forth goal - 10 lbs off Fifth goal - 10 lbs off Sixth goal - 10 lbs off Seventh goal - 10 lbs off Eighth goal - 10 lbs off Nineth goal - 10 lbs off

Welcome! Besides the recipes, I would check out all the nutrition articles. They contain a great wealth of information about the best types of food to eat and how much. If you follow through the SparkPoints it will also help guide you. I wish you well in your journey!

Welcome - this is a great group. My suggestions would be: drink plenty of water, focus on whole foods - the less processed the better, eat as many veggies as possible. Try to have fruits as dessert, slowly transitioning from processed stuff (it takes a while to retrain your sweet tooth). And if you drink soda (diet or regular) or sweet tea - cut way back or stop. These are just my suggestions, mind you. They have worked for me.

Sorry if I'm not doing this properly. I'm new here and don't quite understand how theses post work. My goal for this challenge is to eat more healthy so I can be more healthy. Maybe I can get some help from someone, maybe some tips on how to do this. I have tried diet after diet, I have had dietitions try to help. For some reason I can't loose the amount of weight I want. My goal is to one day look good at the beach like all my friends and feel good about myself.
