My goals for this challenge are:
-Get in a routine of consistently staying with my calorie range, without feeling deprived
-learn how to load up on freggies so that I don't feel starving
-learn how to feed my body the food it NEEDS and to learn to treat food as fuel, and nothing else.

My intentions and goals with this challenge are:
1. Fine tune my nutrition plan for optimal overall health and well-being.
2. Tune into the messages my body is broadcasting (i.e. hunger and energy levels, cravings, the satiety point).
3. Tune out the concept of trigger or "bad" foods. I want to develop a carefree attitude toward food in terms of knowing that I am in control, I can eat what I want within reason and in healthy portions, and still meet my nutritional and health related goals. I really want food to not be the "big deal" that it is today.

Wow! #3 really is my real priority! The first two on my list play a supporting role! This is one of the reasons why I so love posting on SP. It brings me clarity! emoticon emoticon

Although the Challenge goal is to eat 5 veggies daily (I'm thinking 'you gotta be kidding me' I wished this included veggies and fruit ! ), this will include several other goals in order to accomplish this. First is learning to work with my new Notebook computer and Windows 8 touch screen. Second is learning to know my way around Spark so it isn't so I'm not always lost. Third is eating 3 meals a day. Fourth is tracking which I have been terrible at. O.K. now I can finally think about 5 veggies :) Maybe I should have looked for a beginners challenge if there is such a thing?

My goal is to track my food every day. I was diagnosed as pre- diabetic in November and have done a good job in eliminating sugar and "white" from my diet in my quest to drop pounds. On the other hand, I have not been diligent in tracking what I eat and am sure there are some calories that I can additionally eliminate to get my metabolism going.

My goal is to continue eating more vegetables and fruits, in that order, as little refined flours and sugars as humanly possible-because that totally fosters cravings...to have more energy, and to maybe get some tips on how to continue to teach my kids to eat more healthy without being militant about it.

My goal is to eater cleaner with more fruits and veggies and still not feel like I am starting myself. Typically when I try to eat healthier, I end up eating sandwiches with a load of veggies on it and salads and I get bored with that after a few days. I would love some advice for recipes that are quick and still healthy!

I am here for some extra motivation and tips for staying on track with my nutrition. I have been doing pretty good but still find myself overindulging on the weekends. I am good and focused during the week...just weekends I have trouble with.

I've gotten way off track and have gone back to eating way too many sweets, carbs and high calorie foods. I think involvement in this challenge will help me shed some of the weight I've gained and follow more healthy eating habits.

I am here because I am close to my goal weight, but I seem to have lost my motivation to eat healthy (not that Im eating unhealthy all the time, but Im not making wise choices as often as I should be) and I seem to have lost motivation for fitness, too (though I know this isn't about that aspect, however, if I find motivation for one maybe I'll find motivation for the other, too).

My goal: stick to the plan! Eat 4x/day - breakfast, lunch, dinner, 1 snack.
Stay in my calorie range. I recently lowered it since I havent been working out as faithfully as I sued to, and it was higher since I used to burn a lot of calories when I worked out every day. Something to think about: if I want to eat more, I need to workout more!

I would love to stop over eating & under eating, and just stay in the middle! I also want to cut the junk out of my diet. In general I'm pretty healthy, but when I overeat, everything comes in.

In 4 years, I've lost 123 pounds. I should be hanging from a charm bracelet by now.

I do notice that when I eat better I feel better. My body definately knows the difference between the good and bad foods.

Getting enough daily calcium, potassium and vitamin C; lowering daily sodium. Low fat, enough protein, good carbs. Eating 1200-1550 cals a day as my tracker says. Exercising 40 mins a day, 6 days a week.

My goal is to not let long hectic work days derail my healthy eating plans. It has been way to easy to just run thru a drive thru on the way home from work and order takeout at work. There are always high calories sugary snacks being brought in and left lying around. I need to plan my own snacks and shore up my will power so I do not mindlessly snack on those empty calories.

I tried eating a vegan diet for one month and easily lost 15lbs. I am using this challenge to get me back into a vegan eating program. Fortunately, I love vegetables. I am really looking forward to this challenge.

What I always hated about dieting was feeling deprived. That's why I'm looking for foods that I can eat without packing on pounds.
My goal is to consistently eat 4-5 servings of fruits and veggies by the end of the challenge. Plus, I hope to add at least one new healthy food option to my diet each week.
