Starting out for week 1, I am excited to see how this is going to work. Finding groups that are doing well and struggling shows that we are human and still have goals. I love me some veggies and adding more to my diet is going to be fantastic!

Tracking is my best tool. It isn't always my favorite thing to do, but it keeps me engaged and aware of what I am eating.

This challenge is so hard, but worth it. I blogged about it yesterday and today I set a goal to keep a very close eye on that calorie range and set a range by 4.30.2014. It is taking me longer. It is very hard and eye opening.

I set my calorie range for 1100- 1200 and I enter my meals after I eat them and it is just so eye opening how easy it is to go over my limit.

I figured out how to set my calorie range. Man that was frustrating, but worth it. I blogged about that process a couple of time. Blogging helps.

This article really helped me

This week was a struggle. Next week I pray it goes easier...............Next. I will keep tracking . I have noticed on the Saturday I eat in a relaxed manner. I need to match up my intake with my exercise. Sunday is hard I am in worship service most of the morning. I need to eat less and exercise less on this day. I will figure it out

Just starting....we will see how things go with tracking. I must admit I find it time consuming..................If I feel I need an extra push pen and paper will be an option. Old schooler here and I do not have the techie gadgets and if I had them I;d have to go school to learn to use them. ROFL. Copied off the frozen food article.

I have been writing down everything I eat for 3 months 17 days to keep myself going . it keeps me in check and makes me think about what I am eating before I eat it. now with sparks I am also tracking my food, exercise and amount of water I take in each day. getting pretty routine now. wish I had a place to make my own garden, raise my own meats and know what is going in my food. hopefully I wont gain this month like last month 4 pounds. well everyone keep working on yourself, you are worth it. if you don't do it for yourself no one will.

keep on trucking

My goal for this challenge is to really pay attention to what I am eating. I would like to eat more fruit and vegetables during the day and stop skipping meals. I have fallen into bad habits recently (soft drink, fast food) so tracking what I eat will help me see where my diet can be improved. I recently had a c-section and can't really exercise for another month or so, so this will be a good starting point. My overall goals are to be a healthy weight (about 70kg), fit/active and have a healthy relationship with food. Getting into things gradually has worked in the past, so hopefully this approach will be successful this time.

I am doing my best not to let the scale be my only indicator of where I am - I am feeling better now that I am eating more consciously - my weigh in day is Thursday - first thing in the morning - my fitness minutes are off a bit as I am feeling a bit out of sorts - will need to change that up - and exercising does make a difference. So, minutes/mileage tomorrow! Have a wonderful evening all - emoticon emoticon

RNSally, cute dog. now you vegetables. try an omelet in the morning, have a bowl of vegetable soup before lunch and have one veg. at dinner. maybe this will help add some of those vegetables in your plan. good luck. Oh, you can add fruit fusion drinks or v8 fusion . they really taste good especially if you like fruit.

My goal is to get more fruits and veggies in my eating plan. I started tracking nutrition again last Thursday and feel I am on the right track. Spark helped me lose 30 pounds when I really paid attention to the plan - nutrition and fitness - so I knew this was the place to come back to to get the rest of the weight off (gained back 10) and really feel better! I am tracking steadily and feel "different" already! I have made Thursday's my official weigh day! Have a wonderful day all. emoticon

My goal is to stay within my calorie range by tracking my food intake. I have been working the past 3 months on my fitness portion of SP Now, I am going to add in the nutritional aspect. I have been eating pretty ok. But, I have had moments. Prior to Jan 1 I worked out some and focused on the food for weight loss. Now, I am focusing on both.

I will begin this challenge on April 1st, 2014! emoticon

My goal is snack portion and I most definitely need to try eating vegetables which I do not like. Exercising is no prob...eating healthy is.

Leaha - I am in the same boat! and I am trying to do the same and get rid of the bad for good. Though not completely, I will let myself indulge in moderation with certain things, I would really like to kick the bad eating habits!
Also noticed it said you bought the spark activity tracker, what do you think of it??

I am a yo-yo healthy eater. My husband and I cycle through the good stuff (old fashioned rolled oats) and back to the bad favorites (pop tarts). My goal is to kick them out for good.

Remember, it's never too late for a fresh start!

Nice goals everyone!

I have been tracking and exercising and want to focus on getting in 5 fruits and vegetables per day. Tracking my food showed me how poorly I was doing with this. My plan is to add in a veggie or fruit serving at breakfast, usually veggies with my eggs or blueberries in my oatmeal. At lunch I am adding in a cup of greens in my wrap. From there I plan to have a fruit or veggie serving with my afternoon snack and 2 servings with dinner. That equals five!

My goals are to track everything for one week, drink more water, work out at least four times and find my sweet spot! I didn't know such a thing existed, I just am not consistent long enough to get results and find this spot. Today I will start!

My goals for week one is to really truthfully track my food. Even if the food doesn't match up exactly, still tracking everything to the best of my ability. In the past, tracking food took FOREVER because I wanted it to be exact and super accurate and this deterred me.
Consistency of course, and motivation, is something I have also had problems with and want to keep up with this first week.
Mini meals is definitely going to be good for me. Keeping healthy snacks in my purse and on the go will help with this.

I would like to get consistency. Ths week I gained 2 lbs and I'm not sure why. I have been logging my food every day and I'm doing the 30 day 10 minute exercise challenge. I do have mobility problems so i don't move as much as I should. I haven't been eating many veggies because I am restricted. I'm working with my doctor to try and ease this problem.

My goal for this challenge is to figure out how much and what to eat so that Iím not hungry. I do really well for several days but then have a day or two when all I want to do is eat. I think it is because of the increase in activity so that I do need to eat more plus I am watching what I eat for the first time ever. Iím down 8 lbs so far this year; with only another 12 to go until Iím at goal, I donít want to blow that by binging.

Finding my "sweet spot" and hitting it consistently is my number one goal for this challenge. I seem to have lost it. I'm either over or under, more often under range. I think I need to return to the mini meal plan and make sure I get my healthy snacks in.

my goals for this challenge are to get in the habit of recording all that I eat, and keeping it within the proper range. I already know what I'm supposed to be consuming, but have gotten lazy and it has gotten out of control!

My range is 1200- 1550, and when I recorded my consumption on Friday, I was well over 2000!
I think that to focus on drinking my 8 glasses of water a day, then to eat a minimum of 5 fruits and veggies each day, the rest might start falling into place.

My goals are to plan ahead more and learn how to eat fewer calories without feeling deprived.

And my calorie range is 1600-1950 (seems like a lot, but I still struggle with it.) I'd like to meet that goal every day this week.

My goal is to figure out what foods help me to stay full. I've been increasing my veg & fruits; I quit candy bars this week and next week no more chips (except maybe veggie chips); I'm trying to balance my food out. I've also been cutting back on meat. Plus I've started taking my dog for walks again.
