just because your weight loss has stalled a bit, don't give up!!don't go back to your old habits!it is normal for weight loss to stall.a plateau occurs when you no longer lose weight, despite you continuing with exercise and healthy eating habits.a plateau eventually happens to everyone. the frustrating reality is that all of us will eventually experience a plateau!a plateau occurs because your metabolism slows as you lose muscle.you burn fewer calories, than you did at your heavier weight, even while you are doing the same activities.your weight-loss efforts result in a new equilibrium with your now slower metabolism.at this new equilibrium, calories eaten equals calories expended.this means that to lose more weight, you have to increase activity or decrease the amount of calories you eat.if you are at a plateau, you need to adjust your weight-loss program(1.)reassess your habits.look back at your food&activity log.(2.)cut more calories,by 200 calories(3.)increase workout(15-30)min,as well as the intensity.additional exercise will cause you to burn more calories(4.)add more activity to your day*don't allow a weightloss plateau lead to an avalache.if you've improved your diet&increased activity, you've improved your quality of life.even modest weight loss numbers, improves chronic health conditions, related to being overweight.whatever you do,don't revert back to your old ways.this will cause you to regain the weight, that you already have lost.
