I use my daughter's elph, for when I'm scouting locations. No need to bring the big guns out ALL THE TIME, especially when you're not out for a serious shoot. I found a great park (abandoned) for a project I've been toying with, but I need to go to the county to get a permit for shooting.... what a PITA

Oh I so need a pocket camera. I have a Pentax 5D. My go to lens is an 18-250 which I use for about 80% of my shots. I also use a 110 Macro which I love for flowers and critters. Occasionally I use a 50-500 Sigma for big critters and the 11-35 for buildings and trees.

I walk 2 to 5 miles a day and I am always wishing I had a camera with me. My cell phone has a really poor camera.

How do you like your Coolpix?

She has an elph too, and she placed 13th and 6th in 2 district wide photo competitions that the NY board of ed was holding this year. Not bad for a first grader!

I have a Canon 6D and an old Canon AE1 for film shots, my daughter inherited my old Rebel (that thing was a beast! It lasted me 8 years, and she's developing some MAJOR skills).

I loved film but I have to admit I'm a convert to digital. The reason I went with Pentax is all of my lenses are compatible and auto stabilization in the camera. I have a friend that collects antique cameras and I've always wanted to try the big ole 8X10.

For those who are looking for digital cameras to use your lenses for SLRs I bought adapters. Of course it makes your camera manual but I love doing everything manual to begin with. The picture on my background of my profile was taken with a bellow system from the 70's and a 135mm lens attached to it. Then I played with Picasa with it. I bought the adapters on Amazon.

Depends..I have a Pentax K 1000..well 3 of those, Some auto pentax slr that I bought for film use, a PB 30 Agfa from 1939. Kodak Duraflex II, Imperial six twenty, several Argus C3 bricks, Holga and then a Canon Digital DSLR. I use vintage lenses on that one. I love film but rarely have time to go to the darkroom due to being in nursing school and working the weekends. I have everything to build my darkroom at home but Just haven't picked the right location. Where it will be perfect my husband doesn't want it there. It will be built this fall though either way.

And yes..I do use all the vintage cameras. I have to roll 120 film on 620 reels but they all work and take great pics.

Tons of good info on the net. Plus don't forget to read the camera manual! It is more important to take images than to worry about the subject. We have a saying F8 (basic exposure for sunshine) and be there!

I use a Sony Cybershot 14.1 megapixal. Just got last month. Has face and smile recognition and automatically adusts to your lighting. I really love taking photos but so far most of my photos are of nature. Never really sure what to take photos of. Still learning.

You beat me! I have 3 Pentax bodies, and half a dozen lenses..... Just gotta find a DSLR I can use the lenses on....

Mom got a nice little point and shoot for Christmas, doesn't care if she has a camera or not, has no idea how to even use it. Think next time I see her, I'm going to "borrow" it to figure out how to show her how to use it, and I know it'll fit in my purse perfect...LOL

Beautiful day here to go for a walk - sun is shining, snow is sparkling, sky is blue....and I can't go. DH is afraid I'll fall... Can't wait to get this sling off. I'm sure I'll still have to fight his worry, but maybe not as bad as it is now....

My brother is an excellent photographer who travels everywhere with his Cool pix. Sure he has all the pro gear but traveling around the world he found it was too cumbersome so he bought the coolpix and loves it.

I have 5 Pentax bodies and about a dozen lenses so I am good to go with them. LOL

My 35 mm camera was a Pentax, and I've been unable to find the digital one that I can use my lenses with, but I'm still looking...

Right now I'm using a Kodak Z1012.

I have been using Pentax SLR's since the early days. I like that going digital didn't mean ditching all of my lenses. How about you what do you use? Cell phones to top end SLR's make great images.
