Okay, this isn't one habit being replaced by another (yet...I'll have to give some thought to that idea), but your comment about stop making excuses reminded me about this:
I have been meaning to try to snowshoe, now that we have measurable snow on the ground, but the weather has been cold. Yesterday, I stopped making excuses. Hey, if it's not cold, then there won't be snow. Duh! So it was snowshoeing yesterday. And fun!

Don't give up what you want most for what you want for the moment.
If hunger is not the problem, food is not the answer.
Stop one bad habit and replace it with one good habit.
Here's mine: Stop making excuses about exercising and get creative about exercising-adding in steps and more movement every day.
