Yucky heat. Must go to the store to get food for tonight. Should go for the rest of the week, but too late in the day! Hope you're staying cool!

Didn't feel great yesterday. Much better today. Just as I don't want the cold nights, I don't want 80s yet, either. Hot weather is hard on me (maybe because of all my natural insulation???) emoticon How about some sun and 70s?

Hey, Michelle, enjoy this weekend. The forecast says more rain and lows down to 35! This isn't real, is it? I bypassed the Vander Veer Plant sale this weekend because I'm sure the plants won't survive outside yet. They've had 60s, probably, and are not hardened off to 35!!

Got a very welcome surprise this morning: the scale read 30 pounds lost!! I'm very happy about that. Now I'll just keep going, one day at a time!

I hope you have a good weekend!

Finally a sunny, mostly warm day. Unloaded and spread 1.5 yards of mulch with my husband this evening. Still have a lot more to do, but we're getting there. Back on track with food, and feel good. Funny how when the weekend comes, I am definitely ready for some treats, but I really feel better eating the way I do during the week. Maybe as time goes by I'll let the "naughty" stuff go completely, but for now, having treats on the weekends keep me going during the week. Hope you had a great day!

Beautiful yesterday, not so much today. Had my favorite Thai food last night and went over my calorie count. The scale was up 3.5 (!!) pounds this morning! I wish someone could tell me how that could be possible! I know they're just temporary pounds, but still! I'm being good today and have done all my routine exercises. Have laundry to do, so that will mean up and down the stairs a number of times. That will help those nasty extra pounds! The food and my martini were really great, though, and I enjoyed every mouthful!

I'm glad you had a good weekend! I did, too, but it was a bit busier than I anticipated. It was good stuff, though. Had friends here for dinner on Saturday and then to a wine tasting and a couple of appetizers afterward. I didn't stay on track, but I didn't go far afield,, either. We got other things accomplished the rest of the time. I was very tired last night! Today, husband is gone to a meeting this evening so I'm going to treat myself to my lowest-cal Thai meal that I love. No apps, though! I had a good breakfast and lunch to accommodate a few more calories tonight.

Have fun on your long weekend! While I do not work outside of the home any longer, I remember how wonderful they were. I hope we have good weather so you can be outside!

It has been a great Friday--good news for you!! FYI--my heel pain went away at around 30 pounds lost--I too was apprehensive about it being only temporary--but it was not! I hope yours is gone for good--don't go crazy walking or anything right away--but stay positive!

Good for you with that walking! Being outside will come, so they say! Thinking of walking makes me think of my heel, and I am happy and surprised to report that my heel has not been excruciatingly painful the last three days. I didn't really think about it until yesterday, and I am worried that it's just a passing thing, but I am happy anyway! Hopefully it really is a harbinger of heel healing!

Other good news for me is that I am officially down another pound this week, and I'm down 3-1/2 for the challenge I was a part of Monday through weigh-in this morning. The goal was to lose a pound, and I was worried after last weekend, and then making some less-than-great choices on Monday and Tuesday. I got serious, though, and feel great about it! I plan to be good today, too, so that maybe, just maybe, I'll hit that magical 30 pounds lost tomorrow. If not then, certainly next week sometime. That will be terrific! Many more to go, but just thinking about losing 30 pounds was only a dream in January. You know all about it, I know. I look forward to the time when I am maintaining, too. You are a good role model with your continued use of SP, sharing your ups and downs as part of your continued determination to maintain your weight. Thanks! Woo Hoo to both of us! Have a great Friday!

Several flood warning text messages on the phone over night--no water in my basement! Yay--a little damp--but no standing water.
Walking on the indoor track in the mornings yet. Would love to be outside, but this is nice too--very centering for me before I start my work day.

Wow, we're really getting a downpour now. It will be interesting to see how much we get. I know we need the rain from the drought of last year, but a deluge is not really necessary! I have done about half of my free-weight exercises today, and will plan to do the rest after I make a dreaded trip to the grocery store. What a horrible day to have to go! Try not to get wet!

Glad you are able to do it in small pieces.
The rain is pretty intense today! I got my walking in on the indoor track this morning and some more during lunch. Plan to lift weights @Y after work sometime tonight. Have to stock up on a few grocery staples and get some things planned out for lunch for the rest of the week.

Stages are good. My lower back was sore this morning when I woke up and for awhile thereafter. It has been good since then, though, and I spent another 2 hours spreading mulch, cleaning old plant material away, raking, etc., etc. I am feeling it now! emoticon It's good pain, though, because of the enjoyment every time I look out the windows and look at what I have accomplished. We have hired a guy to do the spring yard cleaning, and they are supposed to take all debris away. That is nice. However, they were here on Friday, but have not been back. My husband was going to send an email today to urge them to come back very quickly and finish the job. I sure hope they don't think they're done!! There is so much left in the beds, not to mention how horrible the lawn looks with remaining leaves, twigs, branches, and whatnot.

My heel was on fire at the end of working outside, and it seems to take awhile to calm down. Sitting here doing my SP stuff is just what I need!

Good luck with getting your yard work done. This is the best time of year, when everything is fresh, the weeds haven't taken over, the greens are so beautiful.... I could go on! Enjoy! I know I am!

Sounds like you are doing exactly what you need to:)
I was hoping to get more of my yard stuff loaded and hauled to the yard waste pile for the city--but it started raining right after work again today--the rest of the week doesn't look particularly promising either. Hopefully I'll have a couple small windows--I don't mind doing it in stages :)

Maybe it's all talk, then. I would like to think they can't cheat so the test maintains its level of integrity.

Worked in the yard yesterday, spreading mulch for about 90 minutes yesterday. Felt good, except for my heel! Still, got a lot done. I thought of going out today again, but I might wait until tomorrow since this is my first time with that type of exercise this year. Normally I just start and keep on going, with all the aches and pains that go with it. However, now that I have had my lower back issue, maybe I'll go forward a bit more cautiously! I wish we could get a break from the rain! Have a good day!

I was going through email after my SP tasks, and saw your recent post. You mention getting a room ready for an ACT test. Made me come back here to ask you a question that I've wondered about for years. When our kids were taking the ACT and SAT tests, there were always stories from kids who said they cheated on the test. I don't understand how they could do that with all the precautions taken today. Can you enlighten me? All our kids are out of high school now, so I won't have to think about that until one of them produces grandchildren! However, I am still curious. Thanks!

Congratulations on that pound lost!! It is really nice to see the sun out again. I just finished supervising a room for ACT tests, and I was quite pleased when I walked out into the world again that it was sunny--at least for a minute. It sure is windy out there though :)

Good for you in getting your holiday weight gain off! It's so easy to let things go once one has gotten off track. I think the hardest thing to do is to have the determination necessary to lose and then maintain. Forgetting how much effort is required to get back on track is very dangerous! I'm impressed with your capability to maintain! I only hope that once I get to where I want to be I'll be able to do the same.

I sure am glad to see the sun today. The yard cleaners were here yesterday, but I don't think they could possibly be finished. There is lots of yard junk left so I'm hoping they'll be right back on Monday. Then my husband and I have to mulch, and we have a lot to mulch. Not sure how my back and heel are going to respond to that, but at least (I hope!) the temps will be improving. I can't believe how nasty the last half of the winter and spring (so far) have been. Summer better be cool, too, because I'll be very unhappy if it is horribly hot and humid as it was last year! (Not that my being unhappy will change things!)

I have a mountain of dishes to do from having a friend and her daughter here for dinner on Thursday, and a busy day on Friday, so that I didn't do any dishes. They're all staring at me now!

On a final good note, I lost another pound this week! I didn't think I would because of the atypical eating and drinking I did a couple of times during the week, but I guess I was better than I thought! Have a great weekend!

This weather is just awful! But I'm still in a good mood! Down under 150 again and very close to my "magical" goal weight (only 2 pounds) and I'll be fully recovered from the holidays/hormone therapy meds (that I'm not prescribed anymore)!
Planning to walk on the indoor track in the gym here at work before I head home to get a little extra activity in :)

Yes, it's a nasty day today! I know we need the rain, but not until I have mulched! I sure hope I have your experience with p. fasciitis. Until June of last year, I had been ok for about 10 years, but then one of my old inserts started to crack and my right heel started to hurt. I had new inserts made to the tune of $400, and the right one was not "right". I have been to my doc a number of times since then having him make adjustments, but finally he re-cast my foot and had a new one made. I finally realized yesterday that my new shoes (new last June, that is) might be part of the problem. It seems to push the orthotic up on the sides in a funny way, which I found hard to understand since it is rigid! Anyway, today I wore some Keens and my orthotic and my heel feel better. I sure hope that is a harbinger of good things to come! I would like to be able to be p.f.-free after losing enough weight, as you are. I keep hoping! I spent my day at the husband's office doing bookwork, so not much activity for me. Tomorrow will be better! Have a great Thursday!

Oh--I feel (or rather felt) your pain. I battled with plantar fascitis for years myself. When my weight got down just above 200, I felt almost full relief from it, and now it's just a distant memory. That was so miserable--I waited til I'd lost about 30 pounds through diet alone to add much activity because of that pain.

What a crummy day out there today :( I have plenty of indoor work to do when I get home today though, and that will keep me busy and add to my activity :)

Have a great day!

Good for you with that run! I'm still taking baby steps with respect to what I do with my feet! emoticon I have one heel that is very painful with plantar fascitis and I am working on it, but for now even walking is out of the question. I know what you mean about the gardening waiting for other things. I could be outside doing a few things, even though I am waiting for a crew to arrive to do the spring yard clean for us. I'm not sure when they will arrive and they're starting to make me nervous. We're doing all the mulching ourselves, and cannot start until they have been here. Got to have the husband send another email today asking for their arrival date! Still, I'm inside doing laundry, catching up on SP stuff (I don't want to let this go!), and various other things. Once I really get outside and start, I'll want to be out everyday. I'm glad you had a great time!

So far so good with the great week. Ran in the Gilda's Club 5K yesterday, and it was so beautiful. Enjoyed the whole day being outside a lot. Had plenty of yard work to do, but spent my time visiting family and being outside that way instead.
You have a great week too:)

I agree about the sunny days we've had. Had some rain here last night, but would like to get the guys here who are going to clean our garden before we get too much more. After cleaning comes mulching, and I understand my husband and I are doing that ourselves. Sooner is MUCH better than later for that! Hope you have a good week!

I love how the beginning of April has been so sunny! I wish it was a bit warmer, and I'm looking forward to 70's weather...working in the garden/yard---summer break (working for school is so great!)
