Having read the whole book now, this is the first time I've consider the exercise part of the equation. Exercise will be necessary to get to the weight God intends me to be at and stay there. Rita explains in chapter 8 about two studies of people who lost a significant amount of weight and kept the weight off for 5 years - in both studies, the main reason for keeping the weight off was regular exercise (in one study 76% of the people were walking briskly for 1 hour a day, and in the other study 80% were exercising three times a week.) So this is obviously crucial to weight loss & maintenance. :-)
