I've been considering one for my office. Right now, I split my lunch hour and bike for the second half. It would be fun to swap in a new workout! I also want to use it more when I just have to read something -- which happens a lot in my position -- so I can get in a little workout while I review grant opportunities. :)

Ages ago, a co-worker who worked the night shift had the stepper. Every morning I hoped she'd forget it so I could use it, but of course she never forgot it.

I have never heard of a mini-bike. Dee - I love it when you get paid to work out!

One of the ways I'm working on more steps is getting up from my desk at work more often. Helps a little bit at least. My office is small so I can't really walk anywhere in it but I can move my body more often.

That is the epitome of sneaking in exercise... and getting paid for it! YAY!!!

I love my mini-bike. It's not quite cardio, but it keeps me moving.

Karen - I thought of you yesterday when I heard on the radio in my car that Chicago was going to get to 60 degrees. I had hoped you'd be out enjoying that weather. Glad to hear you did.

Love all the creative ways Sole Sparkers are getting in their steps. Tonight I am going to have to get creative. It is only 26 here with a bitter windchill so I won't be walking on my breaks at work. I can walk around the office when both bosses are out today on appointments. Tonight I have company for dinner so not much time to step it up then either. Some way, some how I will get in my 10,000 steps today though!

I looooove being the crazy lady at work. I've got a balance ball for a chair and a mini bike under my desk (no, I can't use them both at the same time!), and a log of my workouts on my white board. I think of it as being a positive influence!

I went crazy on the stairs at work. I had 4 boxes to ship in the am and I walked them down one at a time. emoticon In the afternoon I only had one, but it was ok because my boss was there.

Paula, glad you're feeling better, hope you got your walk in at lunch. emoticon

As for me, I'm getting back to those good decisions and since I'm not a cold weather exerciser I took full advantage of the 50-60 degree weather that was Chicago in January and walked 2 miles yesterday and today before it goes from 20 to 60 to 19 in 3 days!.

I know you can't out exercise a string of bad nutrition choices but along with Tae Bo, I sure am trying emoticon

I got in a nice walk this morning at the gym... finally starting to feel better, so I'm easing back into exercise until this wackiness is done.

Tomorrow it's supposed to be mid-50's here, so I think I'm going to sneak in a walk at lunch. YAY!

Love it Dee!

I had 8,500 steps tonight after dinner and mentioned that I'd best get on the treadmill to get the rest of my steps in and my son went right down to the family room and got it set up for me. Wow!

Karen - glad you are back on 'the wagon'. Remember we all have rough days. Glad it didn't become several rough days in a row for you though.

Sometimes, families just need someone to take the lead in their health journeys and show them the way, good job Konrad and Dee!

Unfortunately for me I traded my walk it off SparkGoodie for a temper tantrum yesterday and did nothing except what was required to fix the binge food and watch TV. And yes I'm thoroughly ashamed of myself.

Today, I'm back on the wagon with healthy breakfast and 15 minutes Tae Bo and I'm going to be doing alot of extra stairs and walking today just because it's the right thing to do.

Be strong Sparklers! You can do it and I'm cheering loud and proud for all of you!

I got in extra stair climbing today. Laundry in the basement, vacuuming on the second floor, and did stair climbing during the commercials while I watched the Blackhawks hockey team stay undefeated thru their 1st 5 games.

I have thigh muscles, who knew. LOL! emoticon
