emoticon this challenge has ended but I set up a buddy squad in the miscellaneous thread. We can continue to post our min. and walking and cheer each other on...it just won't be against each team but for each other. not a lot today..taking care of hubby but tomorrow will have things in check so can do more.
The nurse came to teach me today how to do the infusion and that took awhile.
So 4000 steps
18 min. ( 2 exercise videos)

Just watch my smoke tomorrow. Let's get this ball rolling.
We only have one more week til the rst of March and this is over. Don't forget to encourage your buddy. You are all doing really great!

Just got back from the 1st and 2nd grade fundraiser.... so so loud.
HawtGranny I'm so sorry. Husbands in hospital is just hard. The worry, the waiting, the food, rinse and repeat every day. My prayers are with you. I hope he's well soon and that you get a break.

sorry everyone was in the hospital with hubby for 8 days. After I eat(just got home) I will figure out how everyone is doing. Poor Vlublink for having me as a partner. I didn't get in much walking and no exercise. Will get busy tomorrow.

I love this challenge for so many reasons...
1) it broke me out of the "I 'll do it tomorrow, for sure" trap
2) I have to keep going, no matter what, because I want to be accountable to my partner.
3) I used to walk in all kinds of weather, and have rediscovered that I don't melt in the rain, won't freeze in the cold, and that the sun secretly shines from my heart in all kinds of weather.
4) The Strength of women who walk together is unstoppable

Keep up the good work Wanda! My daughter and I also like to watch The Biggest Loser together. Even though she is only thirteen she inspires me. She usual exercises throughout most of the show. She dances, stretches, does sit ups etc. Of course she also likes to eat some ice cream in between! She is at a very healthy weight, so I don't see a problem with that. I usually have some fruit, so we both are happy! emoticon

I thought I would be able to step it up today, but as usual "life interferes". However, I am grateful for all the inspiration I receive from this board. Sunday - 6300 steps and 25 minutes of exercise. The next two days will be intense for me. Want to get down under the 160 mark - so close. Tonight my daughter comes over to watch Biggest Loser with me, so we will motivate each other for two hours. It is actually a lot of fun. Plus we make a "good for you" dinner to enjoy. Turkey Chili in the crockpot. Hope everyone has a really GREAT week!!

Matschi you are doing great !! I walked today 4250 steps, but did not get time to get any exercise in. Tomorrow and Monday will be catch up days. Actually looking forward to lots of hard work.

Hit the floor running again today... well, not really running but..
I worked out and walked twice. The second time was my usual time with the dogs. I didnt want to go. I was tired. I looked at the dogs. I looked at the sun shining and thought about the challenge and picked up the leash. I promised that it would be a short one but the sun and promise of snow again kept me going. The dogs were prancing and we just moved until it began to get dark.

The morning yoga is really helping my sore torso and the walking is good for everything, my especially my spirit.

Thanks everyone for the workout!

Minutes: 99 (Ballet Conditioning and Ballerobica Beginner Barre Workout)
Steps: 6903
(My two exercise tapes only have a few actual steps, so if I don't also walk I have very few steps, despite exercising a lot. HOwever, the two DVD's are great for someone with bad knees.)

Ok so that means that you can count every step you take all day as steps but not as min.
the only minutes that count are when you are actually exercising.
So your post should be
min.
steps.
So get going today and shake it up LOL.
Vlublink that sounds so exiting. Of course you will not be letting us down ...you will be living it and if you would like post your adventure . It sounds exiting. If you would like start a thread vlublinks adventure in Africa. It would be fun to keep track of your adventure.

Now get going. I didn't do the walking I should have yesterday though I already posted it...I think...better go check

Matschi: i agree, i wish cooking (and eating emoticon ) counted as exercise. Unfortunately, that's how I got in this mess. emoticon
Vublink: how exciting!
I bet you won't be sitting anywhere near as much as you think. One tip, watch out for the monkeys at dinner.

I vote for all the steps in my day. I,m using a Nike fuel band for the count.
Exercise time is just the hour:minutes spent in activity meant for body conditioning.

For the Buddy challenge I vote that we record deliberate exercise minutes and the days total steps. LIke Beth, the total daily steps is very motivating to me. I will take my exercise minutes from the trackers, but my stes from the pedometre as I don't include them in the trackers.

I hope I will not let my team down next week. In two days we are leaving for a long awaited and long anticipated trip to Africa. We will be gone for a week, three days of which is a Safari (i.e.: sit in a vehicle all day.) I will be taking my exercise DVD's with me and will do what I can.
