What I did right--this morning I pulled some fish fillets out of the freezer for dinner tonight. I'll probably bake a potato for us to split, make some steamed zucchini and serve cut fresh tomatoes.

Wow--Daphne--you were one busy lady!

Something I did right yesterday was to pack my gym bag with what I needed to do 3 possible things at the Y. That way I had no excuse not to do the workouts! Sometimes I feel like my car is a traveling suitcase!

I got up at 5, put a load of laundry in the dryer so my grandson would have a clean apron for work today. Took a shower and washed my hair and got mostly ready for church. At 6 a my student from Florida called and we worked through physics via computer and phone for 2 hours, than I finished getting ready for church and went to church, stopped by the post office to drop off a couple of letters to e mailed. After church I fixed a small lunch and at 11 my student called again and we worked for another 1-1/2 hour. Then I fixed some lunch for my grandson and decided to take a nap. I just woke up from an 1-1/2 hour nap, now I can run to the hardware store to exchange a sink drain part and come home to prepare and cut the grass in the backyard. What a glorious day to be alive!!!

I had a later call today for work, so I ran lots of errands and even walked to the drug store, so I had about 3500 steps before i went ot work.

Today after lunch (a good healthy and filling lunch) I had that feeling of wanting to go in and eat something. I fought it off for awhile, but the next time I went to the fridge I decided to pull out the leftover fingerling potatoes from last night. Heated them up...ate them...and that seemed to do the trick. They were weighed and entered on the tracker. I think it was under 130 calories, and no harm done. It could have been worse....lol. we're talking peanut butter and honey sandwiches here.

I had to wait for the van to transport me from the parking lot to the stage, so I left my cart and started walking in a large loop until the van arrived. It wasn't long, but I felt like a got a little unplanned exercise in.

I was finally feeling better after a week's worth of bad joint pain, so I took a 1 1/2 mile walk. emoticon I had not exercise for a couple of weeks because of the pain. Gotta keep trying!

Woo Hoo for doing registration, and for all the steps so early in the morning!

I set my mind to it and really cleaned house today--moved some things out of the bedroom and bathroom that had been there for ages and were taking up unneeded space. Like the captain's chair in front of the bathtub? That got putt there well over a year ago after I broke my hip and needed it to sit on while geting dressed. Since then it's been a catch all. I feel lighter every time I walk in there now.

Angelica happy to hear DH tracking his own food. I find it amazing how my DH is saying NO to Second helpings. It's awesome that he's watching what he eat as well. Not that I can eat what he eats.

Woo Hoo for husband tracking his own food!

VBS - Vacation Bible School - a week in the summer for kids to come play, do crafts etc. Ideally you volunteer while your kids are young, then other young moms step in when it is their turn. Truthfully I wouldn't mind spending a day with my presence.... I'm just ready to step down from having to figure out all the crafts, go purchase materials, then be there every day to do the crafts with the helpers and kids..

I will surely do something right today....lol. Will report in later!

After an exhausting long afternoon and night with my old friend that really needed me I slept in a little bit and had a slow start to a kick back kind of day.

My visit with my 3D old friend turned into a 9 hour stint at the E.R. getting her checked out for possible internal bleeding... after having heart surgery a few weeks ago. (We didn't plan it that way, but that is what the doctor said................)
Everything ok.

So maybe next week we can get to do some of the things we wanted to do.. Like laundry and linen changes.... hahahaha

Went shopping with DH -who incidentally is very much into reading nutrition numbers on the boxes!- and counted the points the cereal he had picked would "cost" him. He exchanged it for an all bran. He was more than shocked at the sugar content of some of them. emoticon

I was tempted not to weigh and track food for some reason....but made the effort to pull out the little scale to weigh the cheese for the omelette at breakfast and sandwich at lunch. Then tracked it dutifully.

I was all eaten up with trying to figure things out on how to use the new ipod, but took the time to do the usual routine.

Marcia, I hear you! When hubby is home, I get very little done.....UNLESS I enlist him in a project....lol. Got to have some way for him to give me some "me" time!

Angelica---way to go figuring out the points ahead of time! Fitting real life into your food plan.

What I did right today--Sundays are easy! Lunch at my mom's house (looked up the potato salad nutrition ahead of time -- 1/2 cup 180 calories????) then my fun Sunday at the Y afternoon. Spin, 20 min slow laps in the cold pool to cool down, then NIA.

Went to the restaurant for lunch and since their menus are on line I calculated our points before we went. Asked for the sauce apart and when I got my cappuccino with at least 4 tablespoons full of whipped cream, I pushed off as much as I could before it all melted into the coffee. Of course that IS stupid, but it saved points I am going to use tonight for a piece of chocolate.emoticonemoticon

I find that when hubby is home I get less done. Plus we went to the movies Sat. morning, then lazed around the tv all afternoon. When he got up and got productive, so did I!

Posting for Saturday early Sunday morning.

Yesterday: I lazed around all day then I got up and walked the dog around the block, came home and pulled out the Wii Active 2 and worked out for about 20 minutes.

Took it easy for the most part today, doing small chores.....and then even though I prepared for attending my usual Y workouts I totally flaked out and skipped them. So.... what I did right today?

I attended the funeral of the husband of a lunch buddy friend of mine. I had never met him, but I wanted to show her my support. Then I got so hot in town in my scratchy funeral clothes and had a couple hours to kill before my classes at the Y (plenty of time to talk myself into going home!) Oh....also I tracked my breakfast and lunch and have come here now to track my evening meal. So I did a few things right...lol.

Even though my Mom's eye surgery took most of the day, ( first the surgery, then the trip back into town to see the dr, then getting her set up back at home) I did manage to sneak over to the Y while she was napping and hit the pool for some laps...just barely had time to squeeze them in, but felt good.

I gave the "complimentary" snickers peanut butter bar to my Mom to keep (they have a big box of them sitting out at the charity thrift shop we stop by every week. There's a Mars manufacturing plant here in town...lol). Also when she got a huge serving of cherry cobbler at lunch and insisted I split it with her....I just kept saying "no thanks". So she took it home and will enjoy it tonight.

I made myself a spinach omelette this morning, and it carried me all the way through to 12:30 when I suddenly realized what time it was. Usually when I'm home I start eying the clock around 10:30 or 11:00. I'll have to remember that! 1/2 cup cooked spinach, 2 eggs, 1 oz shredded lowfat mozzarella!

I made the decision to not become a victim of my Fibo pain today. I have to much to do to spend my day doing nothing. The work will still need to be done. I won't break any speed record and I might not get it all done today. But I will at least do one thing on my to do list.emoticon

The title of this challenge pretty much says it all!

A lot of us have self-critical thoughts constantly running through our heads.......what we have or haven’t done that day....goals we haven’t reached yet after multiple attempts.....mistakes we’ve made recently - or way in the past. It’s hard sometimes not to let all the non-productive thoughts be the only thing we’re “hearing”. That's not a nice way to treat ourselves!

The challenge is to come here and post something positive you did…whether it be a good deed, a new vegetable tried, a bit of exercise fit in, a meal tracked, a nature walk enjoyed, a movie or book that made you think of something in a different way, progress on a new habit….the possibilities are endless! Anything that made you feel happy!

Pollyanna called it “The Glad Game” when she saw the positive side of any situation.......... Since we're "playing through May", who's in for playing the Glad Game? Come post what you did right today!
