I haven't weighed for a few days, but I am feeling good. I went riding on my horse Saturday for 4 hours. At one point, go off, and then back on w/o a log!

We had family dinner yesterday, and I didnt too badly, but decided not to weigh today emoticon

I am doing great resisting the urge to have a Big Mac. I haven't had a Big Mac in about 2 years, but all of a sudden, it's all I can think about!!

This banana just isn't cutting it right now. Sigh. However, I REFUSE to lose any of my progress. Especially not over a freaking Big Mac!!

Pretty sure I have broken past my goal weight! My official weigh-in date is tomorrow at the gym but I have stepped on the scale here at home this weekend and I'm pretty sure that I will be pleased tomorrow!

I'm doing great this week! Last week and the weekend, I don't know what happened. Calories were in check. I do tend to gain towards the middle of the month. And I had a bunch of brussel sprouts last week, that might have made me retain some water. And Sunday, family dinner and it was soup and the soup my SIL brought, I think had a little too much sodium.

So this week, things are headed back down. -2.4 so far! emoticon

We had hoped Bob's pension would be here today. Didn't happen. I'll check again at 11am when they update. Otherwise it'll be Wednesday before we can pay bills or get any grocery shopping done. Bob's not happy about it, but not a thing I can do about it.

Where did 2012 go?!!! The older I get, the quicker they go....

I am ready for a new year though. I think I should be able to meet my weight loss goals this year. I have too much knowledge now, not to. emoticon

HAPPY SUNDAY!
Hope you're all having a great weekend. This year is almost gone and we have a brand new year to reach our healthy weight loss goals. What will you be doing to reach yours?
For me, I'll be doing low carb, and I'm cutting out all artificial sweetners. Bob and I have also joined a fitness center and will be going there 3 times a week. It's only a 5 minute drive from the house so no excuses not to go. I don't know how much of the 65 lbs I'll be able to lose in 2013 but I'm going to lose just as much of it as I possibly can.

Well, I gained alittle over 2 Thanksgivings. I knew it was water because I didnt really overeat, at least not by 14,000 calories!! So it took a few days last week to get that off, and then some. So now I continue to make steady progress downward emoticon

I have a girlfriends' Christmas deal Friday night, I was really hoping to be at this marker by then. Last Christmas, I was just starting to get serious with my journey, and had lost 20-30lbs or so maybe, just by making small changes.

Woohoo! You go girl...oh honey, I know what you mean about the back saying "enough already!"

This past week it's been knee and foot for me...and then after doing my work at Mom's, I stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home and toddled around for 45 minutes. My foot complained all night! I forgot to bring my walking boot, so will do the slip, slide shuffle today emoticon

My sugar was crazy at Mom's...349 Monday and 375 yesterday morning....it was 186 at 2:10 this morning and 234 when I got up for real...at 7:00...I will work on this will all diligence. emoticon I can't afford not to!!

Other than that and the foot thing I'm feeling better and the weight was at 206.4 this morning.
Start: 208
Goal: 195
Today: 206.4= -1.6

PM eating has been better too...tho I did eat pie twice at Mom's and need to leave it alone from now on. emoticon

I got some much needed exercise today. Hubby is tearing down his workshop roof (as it has rotted) so I got to bundle and cart all the rotted wood to the curb to be picked up. Did 7 loads but had to quit after that. By then my back had said it had had enough. I'll be really sore tomorrow but plan to get back out there and do more to help him. Otherwise he tries to do it all on his own and with his heart condition, that's just not a good idea.

Hubby takes metformin as he's borderline.
The knee surgeries he had were done years ago. One knee is fine but the surgery on his left knee was done wrong and they scraped nerves so he has almost constant pain in that knee. The've told him he needs total knee replacement but he refuses to get it done. He said enough was enough.

I am...glyburide and metformin...two each AM and PM. That's where the PM eating has gotten me in so much trouble. I was on a chips tear for three months. The carb and spdium overloads have whipped me good and now I have a lot of damage control to do.
emoticon No, please no!! No surgery! My Mom had both hers replaced about 13 years ago.
Did your hubby do ok after his surgery? We have some really good surgeons in the area, but I'm alergic to needles so am sure I'd have a couple of cows, before they tied me down. I don't have insurance either so that's a big factor.

I will pray more, move more and do what I can until I can DO more!

Are you taking medication for your blood sugar? That sounds dangerously high to me. Please be careful.
Hope you're not going to have to have knee surgery. But it sounds like it might be in the future. That's how my husbands knee started out then one day it loaked up in place and had to have the surgery to get it bending again.
I'm ending up with my weight the same as last Sunday but at least it wasn't a gain.

I have bi-lateral hearing loss due to Meniere's disease and have hearing aids. I got my first pair in 2000. The new ones...shhh...I hate, but am so thankful I have them. I hate them because they are digital as opposed to analog, that they don't make anymore and the sounds are very different. I hope your hubby will be happy with his and that they work great for him!

I am having real trouble with my blood sugars being out of control. My fasting sugar has been over 230 for three weeks and one day it was 391 emoticon ...highest ever.

I had an episode at work last week with my left knee giving way with pain...and it's happened about 6 more times. Exercise has been little to none for much too long!

The weight flucuates with fluid retention and I uhm know what to avoid...so need to start doing some of that emoticon

So today~ I will set goals and work towards them in getting that sugar down and moving more! Both will benefit my body greatly.

Just got back from having hubby's hearing tested. Looks like he has a slight ear infection but he does need hearing aids in both ears. He sees our family doctor next month and will get a referal to a ears, nose, and throat doctor to see if he can get this straightened out, then he'll go get the hearing aids. He's put it off way too long.

oh no, I meant when I gained a little, I figured it was water weight... so I lost that pound (again) and then an extra pound!! which I am pretty sure was fat!! But yes, I will take the weight loss, whatever it is. But I meant I wasnt tripping on the little gain that I had, cuz I figured it was water weight and it would go away :)

I have been sticking to the plan. Exercise at least 10 min a day, drinking my water and doing my devotional reading. Was down 3 1/2 pounds so far! Disciplining myself to exercise is my hardest part.

I am still going down.

The weekend included a halloween party, one of the rare times I did not track. And my fat grams were higher friday, as were my overall calories, but still below maintenance.

Result?
.2 loss Monday morning (I was expecting a gain)
.9 loss this morning

Since the 23rd, about 4lbs gone! emoticon
