Okay, this is a bit late but I think it's pretty timely considering my RL right now!! ;)

I picked 5 things. I know that may seem like a lot and it says pick one, but I have a lot of issues to deal with so frankly doing one at a time isn't going to work with me. Also, I think I stick to things better if I have more of them to focus on as I don't forget the one little thing. My fast break goals are: (drum roll...)

Drink 64 oz of fluid a day (I would love it to be water but in the winter I don't drink water for some reason ... I mean I do but in the warm weather I drink WAY MORE than 64 oz so it's weird that I have such a decrease when it gets cold so I'm counting ANY liquid for the 14 days).

Take my meds EVERY day. I've been really bad about taking my meds complicently. Since I'm on a thyroid med that is NOT a good thing!! I don't like taking them, but I MUST or things could go south real quick.

Do something creative at least once a week. This is a mental health issue for me. I go really depressed and went through a real rough time and part of it was the inability to be creative because I wasn't physically mobile enough to do so. Now I've had neck/spine surgery and am in PT and am able to start doing a bit more and it really helps my mental state. My BFF and I have a saying that buying and making cards (scrapbooks, etc.) is a lot cheaper than therapy!!

Move at least 2 hours a week. Whatever it is, housework, walking, exercises, whatever. A minimum of 2 hours a week, split up in however it needs to be. I KNOW I'll make this one because I'm doing physical therapy and I spend about 45 minutes doing exercises and 15-20 getting my shoulder muscles worked on... they get REALLY tight and it hurts and decreases my mobility.

Stress reduction! Physical: at least once a day take 5 minutes to do something that relieves stress. Crafting, exercising, meditating, stretching, petting/loving on my cats, something. Mental: also read at least one uplifting, affirmative thing every day.

For the 14 day streak goal, I chose to replace 1 unhealthy food choice with 1 healthy one everyday. It's supposed to be something small and that seemed appropriate. I've been following it for just about a week and today is the first time I can say that I didn't follow it. I didn't really eat poorly but I didn't stop myself from eating anything today and replace it with something healthier. I could've eaten better.

Happy to see you back.

It didn't take me long to read over the 8 step gap but I believe the steps are to be done over a course of a couple weeks to monitor goals, but I will incorporate the 8 step gap into my goals I set for step 1-Focus

Tonight I will be working on SparkPeople Goal Worksheet listed in Step 2 of the GAP (Goal Achievement Plan )

I read through the 8-step plan today. I've been with SP for 17 months and reached my first goal in July. Right on target. My goals now are:
1. To lose another 30 pounds by September 7th, 2013 (my 42 birthday).
2. To lower my cholesterol by my annual exam in May 2013.
3. To do one military push-up (all the way down to a fist) by September 7th, 2013.
4. To be able to hike 1000' elevation gain per mile at a 2 mph pace for at least 3 miles by August 2013.
5. To decrease my sodium intake to 2300mg per day or less - track daily.

I feel like I have the exercise part of this lifestyle change down. I'm still working on eating right and staying within my calorie range. I created a new "Other Goal" tonight to replace one unhealthy food choice with one healthy one everyday.
