I think you'll both be happy with that. Good luck.

It looks like we'll be getting a puppy pen!

Eventually I will be able to do that, but he's very tiny and cannot walk far or fast. I can run a few miles right now, but not w him.

He's pretty tiny right now at 10 weeks old, about 3 kilo. He is a danish-swedish farmdog.

Get a little puppy pen and put him in there while you are exercising. He will be able to see you and if you give him some toys to play with it should keep him occupied.

just plain walking

my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 105 pounds. she went from a size 24 to a size 10. all her health issues dropped off as the 105 pounds dropped off.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60. i went from a size 18 to a size 10 shorts and medium tops from a 1 or 2x.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal

Depending on your schedule - you could walk the puppy first. Perhaps if he is tired, he will lie down and take a nap while you do other exercises.

I agree with a safe pen or a safe crate. Give him a Kong filled with some safe treats to keep him busy. What breed or size is he?

I hope your puppy feels better. You can get a puppy pen and put in the room where you'll be exercising inside. The pup can see you and you can see the pup but without the danger of stepping on him during your exercise. This is what I did when my dog was a puppy and I used my exercise videos.

There are also dog backpack carriers if you'd like to go walking or hiking and take the puppy with you. Yep and they make puppy diapers too - to keep the carrier dry.

Wow, it's amazing the amount of accessories available to make life easier with a puppy and smaller dogs. emoticon

I bet they have a pet stroller too Yep, yep, they do. I just looked it up and there were all kinds of pet strollers! lol!

This has less to do with the puppy, and more to do with my workouts. Is there anyone that can make some suggestions on working out with a puppy around? He obviously cannot go running with me, and I am afraid I may step on him while working out inside. He is just getting over being really sick from eating something he shouldn't have (no idea what!) so I don't feel comfortable letting him out of my sight. I have not exercised in two weeks because I have no idea what to do with the puppy. :-( Please help! I'm dying for movement!
