Hello All.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. Mine was quiet, got calls from my children and Mother-in-law. She lives in Mass. We get along really well. She is so wonderful.

Mushka was doing good yesterday until we got some thunderstorms. He is very afraid of them. I have to keep him on his walking leash because he tries to get behind stuff so that he can hide. I try to keep him comfortable and I give him extra love and attention. I have been doing this for a very long time. I try to get him so he won't be scared but it isn't working. I don't know what else to do for him. His eye is still the same. We haven't given him anymore eye drops and it doesn't seem to make any difference. Some days it isn't as red as others, but it hasn't gotten any worse which is good.

Georgine, It is good that Morgan can still act like a puppy. Mushka does it too. They look so cute when they act like that. It is too bad that Morgan is getting slower. I know that she is quite old, isn't she? It is good that you have her on some pain and anti inflammatory meds. I have Mushka on the one for his arthrits. It seems to help him some. I hope that you and Morgan can go for walks again.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am keeping the used Dell computer that I was trying out over the weekend. It seems to work good and is an upgrade to the one that died. We are getting a good deal on it and our computer guy is letting us make payments on it. He is a great guy. It will be nice to have a computer that works better than the one you were using.

Our weather yesterday was good until the late afternoon when thunderstorms developed. They were the first of the year. We are suppose to be getting some more rain up until Thursday. I hope that it isn't too bad.

Hope everyone enjoys thier day.

Best wishes to all!

Hello All,

I am so sorry that I haven't been on more often. I hate to say that my computer is acting up. When it feels like it it will just shut off. It doesn't make a difference what I am doing. I have to save all my typing almost for every sentence that I type because if I don't then I lose everything that I was typing and it is making me really angry.

Right now we can't afford to buy another one or too put this one in the shop. I don't know what I am going to do. I will just have to take my chances and use it until it dies permanently. I also have been trying to save all my files off of it too. That is also giving me a hard time. It keeps giving me error messages. We are going to go and get a better CD that goes faster to see if that is the problem. I don't want to lose all my work that I have on this computer. This computer is really old, it is around 11 years old. We have practical rebuilt it with all of the repairs that we have done to it.

I will try to keep you all informed to what is going on. I might just be able to put up a blog or something.

My leg is still pretty sore/painful. I am wearing my compression stockings all the time. When I don't have them on my leg turns to a dark purple color. It really doesn't look good at all. I am going to call the Wound Center tomorrow and see what they say about it.

Hope everyone is doing ok, I wish that I could spend more time here with all of my wonderful friends that I miss so much.

Best wishes to you all.

Your Friend, Dot

Dog Walking, well, it is an expensive option in this area. But this is Main Line (of Philadelphia), so maybe other area are more normal, or reasonable. We have priced and used 3..2 agency and one freelancing, very business like kid,...they walk him for an hour each, one is $22, one is $24, and even the 12 yr.old on the next block is 15.00, plus she wants a guarantee of 4 walks a week, apox. 1 hr walk, for a prepaid $50.00...if we just get her every now and then she charges $15.00, and it is barely an hour! I would like to find someone, on a more casual, cheaper basis.

How is it in your area?

I am sometimes out of my house for 10/11 hours a day and am considering to hire a dog walker to let my dog out midday. I give him a 45 minute walk before and after I go to work and he isn't usually bursting to be let out when I get home. I make sure he pees and poos but he's always on my mind if it is too long of a time for him.

What do you all think? Does anyone have a dog walker? What the running price for a 15 minute stop by??

Hello All,

I am sorry that I can't stay and read all of the posts of my friends and see how their day is doing.

I am not feeling all that well myself today. I am having a upset stomach, headache, and a lot of pain. I think that weather has something to do with it. We are having rainy weather for about 6 days. I am not looking forward to that.

I have to go back to the Wound Center tomorrow. I am almost sure that it will be my last visit. Then I can concentrate on getting back to some kind of routine.

I want to thank all of you for being there when I need you. You all have really helped me through this very tough time. You are all so great.

I am going to go and lay down for a while and see if I can get to feel better. I just wanted you all to know that I was thinking about you all and was hoping that your day would be a good one.

I will be saying prayers for all the ones that are having a tough time. I am here for any one that needs to talk.

Hope you will enjoy your day.

Best wishes to all!

Hello All,

I know what you mean about keeping a dog's memory alive. They mean so much to us that when they go there is noway that you can forget about them. I have had a lot of dogs growing up. I use to bring stray dogs home to my mother. They would just follow me home from school. It didn't make a difference what I did to make them not follow me, they never would. My mother loved animals too, so most of them we ended up by keeping. We already had our male dog that we had since he was a baby. He was our protector. The police use to use him sometimes, because both of his parents were police dogs. It was only rare occasion though. He lived to be almost 17. It was really hard losing him. I cried for weeks. I have always had a big dog. Mostly Shepherds and huskies. One of my last dogs was a mixed breed, but he was my protector. He wouldn't let anyone that wasn't part of the family near me. He lived almost to 16. All of my dogs lived a log time. They never got cancer or any illness that I needed to have them put down.

We now have a Siberian Husky, named Mushka. We have had him from 4 weeks old. He is now going on 12. He too hasn't had any real bad illnesses. I am hoping that he will be able to go from natural causes too. I just get so attached to them, and it makes it really hard for me to have them go. I don't know if we will get another dog, we shall see.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Best wishes to all!

Hi folks,
Gina, your post about Hobo reminded me of a "desert dog" that shared our lives for about 7 years awhile back. A buddy of mine found about 6-7 pups that someone had abandoned out in the desert and brought them to his home. My daughter was about 2-3 at the time and my friend called us over to look at the puppies. My daughter immediately took a shine to one of them and we brought him home and named him Maxwell. He turned into a large chocolate lab mix and was my daughters protector and friend for the rest of his life. Eventually he got cancer and had to be put down. That was a sad time for everyone and we all miss him still, particularly my "little girl" who is now 16 and still does things like include his name in her username for our home computer. We kept him and Patches in a large fenced area with "my" dog "Patches" when we were not at home, and Maxwell would always find a way to get out of the fence, no matter how hard I tried to keep him confined. He never ran off, he'd just climb, or dig, or (some other way I'm sure I've yet to discover) his way out of the fence, then he'd sit beside the gate and wait for us to return. When the time came, I buried him right outside the gate, where he always waited for us. I couldn't stand the idea of burying him inside a yard he put so much energy into getting out of. Sadly, Patches is gone now too, old age finally overtook her, and she rests out on a little rise overlooking the spot we two spent many happy days hunting rabbits together. Now we're down to 1 dog, a wonderful Aussie mix who lives up to his name "Rascal" at every opportunity. He's also "my daughter's dog" but he loves everybody and I pray he's with us for a long time to come. They really are family.

[singing] Oh don't you remember sweet Betsy from Pike / Crossed the high mountains with her lover Ike / Two yoke of oxen and big yellow dog / Called Shanghai rooster and one spotted hog / Hoodle-dang-hootie-i-doh, hoodle-dang-hootie-ay, hoodle-dang-hootie-i-doh, hoodle-dang-hootie-ay / Shanghai ran off and the cattle all died / last piece of bacon that morning was fried...

Hello All,

I just wanted to thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes you have given me. I just got around to put up my blog about what has been going on. If you want to go and read it, it is called, "Dot's things that are happening! Health Issues!" Hopefully it will explain everything. I am very sorry that I can't stay on my computer for very long. I am still in a great deal of pain. Hopefully it will start to go away soon.

Hope is all well with you.

More on Hobo the desert dog. We found him about 5 wks ago now I think. He was a pitiful little guy with not much hair from the mange and an ugly little face because his mask was more pink than black or white also because of hair loss. The vet we took him to gave him some costly meds and his first shots all of which cost 1200 pesos (just under $100) and including the rental of a cage for 2 wks and some vitamins, and a bag of puppy food which lasted 4 wks. We have a scruffy looking old dog Badi whom slowly Hobo began to resemble (the scruffiness of dirt colored hair) Since then Hobo has had two more shots and regular shots all costing another 1000 pesos ($80) and I went to another vet and bought puppy chow while pricing a neutering. The original vet said 1200 pesos and I thought,"Holy Mother of God, it would be cheaper to have it done in Canada". The second vet, a very kindly soul with a hair lip and a good reputation said 300pesos. Now that I can handle. In the meantime Hobo is the goofiest little guy ever. I do not know how Badi puts up with him but all he ever does is show teeth when Hobo gnaws on his midriff, legs and has the grandest time ever with Badi's feather tail. It is just his favorite toy in the world. Lala, our foster dog, a little Mexican mix has snarled, bitten, threatened him to within an inch of his life and Hobo takes the attitude that she can't be serious, really? Walking the three of them together is an adventure and so far has gone well except for Lala getting very fed up. Hobo is chewing, gnawing and attacking everything imaginable including feet, legs, furniture, and all the toys we have bought him at the second hand store. He is slowly becoming a very beautiful dog as the hair grows in and his color is a warm brown with a gorgeous black mask on his face. I have tried to post pictures and this computer will not let me. I do know how and have sent pictures to people who give me their email address. Sorry about that! Also I will cause some envy among dog owners but he has never pooped in the house and rarely peed in it. He took to crate training like a duck to water.

Been following the saga of Hobo, Desert Dog. How's it going now? Training going well?emoticon Hope you can post Pictures.

Our biggest concern this week is the HIGH cost of Vet Care. We have our 27 yr.old daughter's, 2 yr. old pup. She has transferred out of state for her job. and he stayed with us...as he has been here since he was 8 weeks old. But Monday was his annual check-up, and booster shot. They tested a stool, urine, blood sample, and a booster shot...and it was $348.??...we expressed a shock at the cost, so they gave us a Senior Discount...down to $268. Then yesterday they called to say he had round worm!! And to pick up Rx for 3 days...at $20.00 a day..$60 dollars, discounted down to $54. Wondering if it is just our area, or are all Vet's so expensive? Our daughter sent us a check for re-imbursement, but now there is the Rx cost. The Vet did tell us to contact our Manufacturer of his Heartworm preventative, as that should have helped prevent this too, and that it's unusual that an older dog to get roundworm!?! So the whole thing is confusing and costly!
And today our car check-up and maintenance was over $350.00! Yikes! Turning into a BAD $$ week! emoticon that's our budget flying out the window!emoticon

Hello All,

I am so sorry Gin that it won't work. I don't know of anything else that it could be. Have you tried to download another picture to see if it would work for that one. Then if you can do that successfully then you might be able to figure out what the problem is. Hope that you will be able to do it,.

Hope that something will work.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

First of all it is windows 7and it is an IBM compatible laptop. It is a digital camera and Charlie says he used a JPeG format and I know it is filed in pictures. The routine for uploading it is the same I tried to follow and I have been able to use in the past. What happens is when a white hand comes up it contains a golden exclamation mark which means it will not work. Very frustrating!

Hello All,

Gina, on your computer are you using Windows XP or Windows 7? Is your computer a IBM Compatible Desk Top or an Apple, Macintosh? Do you have a file folder that is called Pictures? When you take a picture of your dog, I assume you are using a Digital Camera. Then you download it into your computer through the USB port that is designated for your camera. It should pop up a program that asks you where you want your picture to go, and maybe also, what format do you want it in. It is always best to put your picture as a Tiff or JPEG format. It should then be put into your Picture Folder.

When you come onto your SPage, you should see on the top right side the words, "Edit My Page". You want to click on that, then on the right side top, it should ask you to, "Edit Photo Gallery". That will bring you to your Photo Gallery. On the right top side it will say, "UPLOAD PHOTOS to my SP". After you have Uploaded a picture, you should go to the bottom of the page, on the left side and click on, "SAVE YOUR CHANGES" It is very important that you do that for every single photo that you Upload. If you don't do that step you will lose the photo that you just Uploaded.

I hope that this will help you get your photos onto your Photo Gallery. I really would like to see Hobo. If you have any trouble whatsoever, let me know and I will see if I can guide you better to get it accomplished.

I hope that you are having a good day.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

I tried so hard to post pictures of Hobo on my spark page and all the would come up was a white hand with a golden exclamation mark on it. No success with getting pictures onto my pg.

Thank you, I am pleased we did decide to keep this desert puppy, Hobo. He is quite a character, full of mischief and a sweet disposition. He has excellent self esteem and thinks everything belongs to him. I found him in Lala's bed tossing his frog(stuffed) around and I laughed so hard. He especially seems to enjoy harassing Badi our 11 yr. old with a feather tail and you can imagine that tail is the best toy ever. He is doing well with crate training as long as we follow these simple rules. 1. outside first thing after a while in the crate, 2.After he is inside the house for a little while he needs to be left outside for a while again. 3. If he eats or drinks inside he needs to go outside. Only 2 piddle accidents in 7 days and I think that was really our fault. I am going to try to post some pictures of him on my spark pg for anyone who wants to see what he looks like.

Hello All,

Gina, you are a very good person for taking this dog in and making sure that it is given the proper health medicines that it needs to get better. I am happy that you are crate training. It does work really well if you get him out in time to do his business outside. I crate trained our Siberian Husky when he was a puppy and he got it almost right off. He has never made a mess in the house. He is 11 years now.

I really hope that Hobo, what a fitting name, grows up to be a very healthy, happy dog. It is good that your other two dogs are getting along with him so good.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Best wishes to all!

Little Hobo did well during the night only getting me up twice but one of those times was pretty memorable. I ended up getting locked out. The door lock picked that time to act up once and for all. Thank God Charlie heard me banging on the door after about 5 min. It may be Baha but it gets cool at night. Hobo is shaking his head so much I worry his ears are still a problem. He certainly is eating, drinking and pooing very well so not too much really wrong.

All is well with the desert puppy, so far. At the vet's they found not only fleas and tics but a bad case of mange. They started a course of treatment for Hobo and did a lot of testing . They assure us that he is not contagious. What a mess he is but he smells a but better since his medicinal bath. One course of action that came to me was the crate training I have heard about. So I rented a crate from the vet and will return in 15 days. Hobo is very content in the crate but carries on when he needs out. Then he makes his messes wherever in the yard. I would prefer he did his messes in the same area the other two dogs do but at least it is outside. He is getting vitamins in a gel form and certainly is eating and drinking water. We will see how the night goes. If he only gets me up twice during the night I will be happy.

It may help that you have the other dogs who have accepted the new puppy so readily. If the new one sees the other dogs going outside it may help things along.

I wasn't sure where to post this but I will start with this thread. This morning we went for a walk in the desert. We are in Mexico and every day starts out the same with a walk in the desert for our two older dogs Badi(11yrs.) and Lala (8 yrs.) Badi is ours coming from northern Canada while we take care of Lala for our friend whose house we occupy while she goes to Japan for a while every winter. At the beginning of our walk there are a few bushes and while we passed them I noticed a scurrying in the bush. Upon checking I found a little puppy about 2 months old, starved, full of tics, fleas, and worms. I went back to the car and told Charlie I was going to pick it up and maybe have it humanly put down by our vet. Charlie decided we should keep it which I welcomed as it is not a decision I can make by myself . It is one of those things every member of the family should have a veto power on. So off to the vet with "Hobo". It will cost about $65 to get him bathed, dewormed, and first shots. Also the bath will take care of all tics and fleas. Now comes the hard part, how do I house train him???????? I was surprised the older two dogs accepted him right away so all is well in that department. He will be a medium sized dog and is rather homely but of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Hello All,

Thank you all for the wishes. I hope that I will be able to keep it off and lose more. That is going to be the hard part.

I had a very good birthday yesterday. I really did appreciate all the birthday wishes, thank you all.

We went and saw the new Twilight movie that's out now. It was very good. I enjoyed it. Then we went out to eat. I didn't eat too much because I don't want to gain any weight back. Then we had some errands to do and then we came home. Our next door neighbor came over to wish me a happy birthday and they bought me a really beautiful scarf and gloves. They are so soft. I just love them. She also made me some cupcakes with Happy Birthday Dot on them. They were so pretty and good.

Our weather is kind of cold. We are only at 29 at 11 am. I am glad that i am in.

We are going to put our tree up today. We went and got it yesterday morning. I love decorating it. It looks so pretty afterwards. I hope that everyone is getting ready and decorating. I love to see all the houses lite up

Hope everyone has a good day and hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years.

Best wishes to all!

Hello All,

I have some very good news. I have lost 7 pounds in 5 weeks. That makes a total lost of 23 in 4 months. I guess I am going to continue to eat the way I am. It is working just fine for me.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Years.

Hello All,

Sara, thank you for posting.I hope that everything is ok with you. I am very happy that your little dog is doing so well and doesn't need to be crated that long. It is good for teaching them to only do their business outside. At least that is how I trained my dog. It worked really well too. It sounds like he is getting all the attention he needs.

I wish this thread would be up on the first part of these threads, I think that there should be one so everyone can post back and forth with each other. It is only a thought.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Hi Imagingpro,

We are still here just on different threads. Hope you are doing well. The last time I was here I asked a question on crating my little dog. Well he is doing well but doesn't have to get crated a lot. Thank God! he goes to my parents 4 out of 7 days a week and I only crate him about 2 -3 hours when needed. He is soooo good.

Again, I hope you are well!

Hello All,

I am back home now from our trip to Mass. We had a very good time. We came home yesterday so we could beat the rush. We did too.

My hand is healing really good. I still have to wear the brace because it is still sensitive. I am sure that it will take a little while to become normal again. I am glad that the numbness is going away.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend.

Best wishes to all!

Hello All,

I am using my hand today to type with. It is feeling a lot better now. However, it is still tender so I have to be very careful not to hit it against anything. I was able to take the bandage off yesterday. I will go next week to get the stitches out.

We are now getting some heavy rains and some heavier winds from Irene. I don't think it will be as bad as everyone thought. I hope that we don't lose power though. That is the main concern right now.

I hope that anyone else dealing with Irene stay safe.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

77terri,

I took your advise on not rushing to let Chuey out....this has helped SOOOO much. I don't run to his crate. I go in and place my things on the table and just take my time. about 5 minutes. He does get a little excited but he doesn't make the crying sounds he use to make. That is what got to me. Thank you so much.

I have another question..at the most he will be in his crate 9 hours....he (we) can sleep 9 hours easy without Chuey having to get up to go out side. Is it possible that he is able to hold it that along? I still struggle with the length of time. Thanks again.

Stay Strong!

Hello All,

My hand is doing ok. It still hurts a lot but I am taking my meds for it. I will be getting my stitches out next week, Then I will be getting a jelly brace to wear, I already have one for my left hand.

I think that this topic should be in the top section of this team or something like it so that we can have a place to just talk about stuff.

Hopefully everyone is enjoying their day.

Best wishes to all!

Just wanted to reply to you about the crating question. Small dogs have small bladders and if you have to crate for more then 6 hours you might want try getting a playpen and putting puppy pads or even a doggy litter box in there. You can find them at one of the larger pet stores.

Hello All,

Our weather right now is pretty nice actually. It is only in the 70's. It gets hot if you just stay in the sun, but if you are moving around and stuff it is ok. We are suppose to be getting some showers for this weekend. I hope that they aren't too bad.

I am dealing with computer problems. It is giving me error messages and going off and on. I can't use my favorite browser because something is wrong with that too. I don't know when I will be able to get it fixed. Maybe next month hopefully.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Hi Terri,

Thank you for that link. I think I will be able to apply a few tricks from it but it sounds like it is mainly for puppies. But I do like some of the ideas. When I have placed Chuey in a small bathroom he has chewed all the molding to the door. So that small room doesn't work for him. I guess i will have to play it by ear and just try different things with him. Thanks again. emoticon

Hello All,

The weather today is a lot cooler than it was yesterday. It was in the 90's here. We got a short rain shower last night, nothing serious. I like the temperature today, it is only 77 outside. I think we are suppose to stay cool for a couple of days. Next week we are suppose to be getting some heavier rain. Hope it isn't too bad.

I was going to come on yesterday, but my computer started to act up. It had something to do with the browser I was using, Internet Explorer. I am having to use a different browser now until we can figure out what is wrong with it or take it to our computer guy and have him fix it. I am going to have to save some money first in order to do that. As long as I get on with this other browser I am happy.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Best wishes to all!

While a dog may be left for 12 hours, I think that's asking a lot. I found a link that sounds very much like how I've learned to crate train rescues (I work with a rescue and occasionally foster them). It's at http://www.inch.com/~dogs/cratetraining.html. Basically, you get the dog to like the crate when you're home, so it's not a bad thing when your gone. You might also make sure it's not in a drafty area, since the chi's can get cool quickly. When you get home, don't make a big deal of rushing to let her out and doing lots of hugs to make up to her - you don't have anything to be guilty for, and making homecoming seem calm and normal will help her, too.

If she's housebroken and still has problems with the crate, maybe you can put her in a small room?

Good luck!
Terri

I have a question that I would like to post....I hope it's ok to do it here...Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on crating. I have an rescued adult chihuahua that I have to crate a few days a week and he is very upset being in his carrier. He makes these awful crying sounds. I feel so bad. A lot of people tell me that dogs are ok crated up to 12 hours but I'm afraid that I can't do this to a never crated/adult dog. I leave music or a tv on in hopes that will help. Any suggestions, I am having a hard time leaving him for up to 8 hours.emoticon

Stay Strong!

Sara

Hello All,

I am still sorting things out. It is a big project to do. I am hoping that we can get it all done before winter comes. I can't do a lot so I have to go slow. I get to see the surgeon on the 28th. I won't know anything until then.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Best wishes to all!

Hello All,

I am still not feeling very well. I will probably feel a lot better if I can get to do my exercises good. I have been trying but I keep running into brick walls (figure of speech). I have other pains that I have to deal with too which doesn't help any. I am still trying to get walks in too. As long as the weather will stay nice.

I had to go and see my Rhumetoligist yesterday for my knees. I had done some xrays a few weeks back for this appointment. He was able to give me Cortisone shots in both knees, which will ease the pain a little for about a month. He did say that the Arthritis has gotten worse in my left knee but my right one wasn't far behind. He is sending me to go see an Orthopedic Surgeon to see if he thinks it needs to be replaced. Also to see if it is just the left one or should the right one be included too. I have to call their office to set up an appointment with them. I really don't want to have another surgery, but if it will stop all this pain I am having in them then I probably should have it done if the doctor agrees. I will have to wait and see what they have to say.

Our weather yesterday was just like summer. Our temperatures was in the 80's. The sun stayed out all day and it started to cool off when the sun went down. Today is suppose to just be in the 60's with maybe some cloud cover. It might shower on Friday and Saturday. We might get some thunderstorms too.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Best wishes to all!

Hello All,

Yesterday I had a bunch of errands to do and I did a lot of walking in the stores. I think I might of overdid though because I was having more pain that was different. I rested the rest of the day and some today too.

I decided to come on tonight so everyone would know what is going on with me. I want to keep everyone informed.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Best wishes to all!

Hello All,

I first want to thank you all for the well wishes and prayers for me in regards to my back surgery. I really do appreciate them all.

I am finally getting caught up a little letting me come on and post some. I don't know how long I will be able to stay on though. I get tired easy now. It feels good though to be back.

I am healing good. I just had my staples taken out and everything looks great. I am right on track. I still can't do much of anything though. That is why I am happy that I can come on here to post again for some time.

I hope that everyone is doing well. The weather has been really nice. Yesterday though it rained all day, but today the sun is shining and the birds are chirping.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Best wishes to all!

I'd give anything for DH to go on the diet with me!

I hope you feel better now!

Last night there were terrible storms and tornados in GA. A young Dad and his son were killed very near here and 4 others killed near here. When we got up there were 4 trees in the drive way so we had to saw and drag our way out. While DH and I were out surveying the damage, 2 of the neighbors dogs (who have been a nucense in the past) came into the yard (small dogs mind you) and attacked the Rotti! Dh got her to come away and the shih tzu who they could have realy hurt and went to get his gun! I ran to the next door neighbors to see if they know whose dogs they are and low and behold they were their dogs! The baby sitter called the home owner and I returned home. Dh was dragging the biggest tree out of the drive way and the chihuahua mix attacked him! He chased the dog away and we started dragging another tree away when she came home. She was very nice and appologetic and told me that the dogs are unadoptable rescues she took in. She has an electric fence and a privacy fence but the wind knocked down the fence and knocked out the electric. I love dogs too and understand a rescue pup and since I hadn't known that these were her's I hadn't told her about their comming into our yard repeatedly to attack us and our dogs. We were able to talk and DH felt better. She told us their names and if they are out again I can call her now. No flesh was torn so no real harm done and I'm happy to be able to work with her now to intervien with the dogs. Dh just flipped when they attacked the rotti! I'm surprised he didn't shoot the dog when it came back and attacked him! He just loves that dog so much....I'm surprised that she had her head out of his butt long enough to get bit by the neighbors dog. The power is back on now after 16.5 hours so we can have a hot meal and feel better in a hot bath tonight!

Hello All,

Thank you so much for the well wish. I really do appreciate it a lot.

Sorry I haven't been posting for a couple of days. I have not been feeling all that well. All I want to do is just lay down and rest. I have no energy to even do any exercises. I know I should try to do some but I just don't feel that good enough to do them.

I don't know what is going on with me. I think I may be a little depressed too. I don't like feeling this way. It makes no difference what I try to do, I just can't seem to snap out of it. I guess it has to run it's course before it leaves me.

There is some good news anyways. Starting on Monday, my BF has agreed to go on a diet and exercise plan. We are going to do it together. I think that is just great that we can do this with each other. We know that it will help our health issues too. I am really happy about that. We are going to be able to keep each other on the wagon and be there to catch each other if we start to fall.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Hope everyone stays safe, healthy, and warm.

Best wishes to all!

Hello All,

Hope you had a good time Shirley.

Sorry I wasn't on yesterday. I had to go have a test done in the morning and we had some errands to run too. When we got home later I was exhausted and didn't feel like doing anything. I had done a lot of walking too. I will try to catch up over the next couple of days. I hope I didn't miss anything too serious.

Today it is a lot warmer than it was yesterday. At least the wind has died down and the temperature is going up. It is 34 outside now at 1:00 pm. Hopefully it will stay this way for a couple of days anyways.

Hope everyone stays safe, healthy, and warm.

Best wishes to all!

Well we got some more snow yesterday and it did finally turn into all rain. Today the wind is blowing and it is only 26 outside. Everything has turned to ice. We could have our own ice skating rink if we wanted too.

Hope everyones weather will warm up soon.

Hello All,

Yes, it is going to be very cold here too. No more snow for a while I think. I am very happy without any more snow. We don't need any more, but we probably will have some more before Spring comes.

Hope everyone stays safe, healthy, and warm.

Best wishes to all!
Dot
