I'm using mapmyrun.com to track my actual miles traveled, since SP translates my Fitbit steps and I don't want to count all of them for walking to Rivendell, just the ones from actually exercising. When November is over, I'll post the miles I traveled exercising. I'm a little sad because I did something to my ankle a couple weeks ago and now I'm having to not walk or run unless it's necessary...I did do the TD5K race, but now I'm paying for it. :( Swimming for 30 minutes doesn't get you as far as running for 30....

I'm setting up the goals for this team for the month of Nov. Since Nov starts this week we can start any time this week starting today.

In other goals make sure you record them for the team goals.

600 minutes is a good goal. We do have a goal of 500 minutes for this team.

I personally don't track in miles but do minutes as I claim many activities (e.g. yard work - which will be drying up soon) that can not be measured as such. My main workout does include a treadmill workout, so that could be in miles, but I also lift a few weights and obviously that is not.

As a personal goal for November, I hope to hit 600 minutes.

Anyway.....just my two cents worth.

That works as well. How many miles does each person want to get too each month or week?

On a daily basis I get close to 3 miles a day with just work (not including if I go to the gym)

Once, I have a number for people I'll post a team challenge that includes that and we can walk our way to sucess

Ok, cool! Should we make a goal to shoot for a specific number? I just started walking to Rivendell this last week (again), so I am trying to cover a number of miles.

What is this going to be about? Well since we have enough people that a weekly digest is coming out, I'm going to be looking at them and rewarding members of this team with a goodie.

The first recognition will be spark fitness minutes! for the month of Oct. For November we can decide on a new challenge and goal. emoticon
