Hi Phyliss, I take two canes with me,lol. I keep one in my jacket inside pocket,I've been using both canes for quite awhile now. It works great for me,except the deltoids, they hurt when I use the cane(s). I just try to meditate the pain away. I do a walking meditation that works great. John
I took a walk today without my cane ( I forgot it), and by the time I got a block away I felt serious pain to my lower right side of my back and my leg went numb. I leaned against a wall and stretched down to my knee's,that's all I could do, and that helped a little until the next block. I was in so much pain I was going to call a cab to take me home, just two blocks from home. I then stretched a little more and stayed bent over for a minute,it did the trick, I got home without incident. I then layed on the heating pad for a long time until my muscles in my back loosened up enough to move again. Morel of the story DONT leave home without it,the cane that is. John

I have a question. My left leg, and at times,my right leg becomes hot, and numb with a lot of pain. While walking, whichever leg is hurting, I switch the side the cane is used.Just to try and take off some of the weight off that hurting leg. It doesn't work all the time. My legs do seem to get very heavy too. What could be the cause of it? John/NY PS, I've read where the heavy legs could mean I have spinal stenosis, which I do have. But the burning and the other pain,I have no idea what causes that. John
