I made my own Autumn wreath for our front porch...just by using items I had on hand.
It was actually an old wreath from years ago and I spruced it up by adding a couple branches of colored leaves and some pretty bare willow twigs to it. Now it's good as new and zero dollars invested! Yeah! emoticon

Yes...It is still summer, but you know what? The holidays are looming just around the corner and even the stores know it. They are already getting things together just for us. ha ha.
So...Being the procrastinator that I can be, I thought it might be a good idea to start thinking about those holidays in advance...after all...wouldn't it be nice to have it all together when those holidays come around, and we could just sit back and sip on our hot chocolate and put our feet up and not worry about going out in the cold wet weather.
So...How many of you have already started prepping yourselves for those holidays? Do you have any wonderful cost saving ideas? Let's share the ideas here and let's see if we can't all save ourselves some $$$ this year!
I know that one of the things I will be doing this year is canning blackberries. They grow abundently here and come Christmas time, it will be nice to pull out some Blackberry Freezer Jam, wrap the jar with some pretty paper and raffia and include it in a gift. Nothing like home grown berries at Christmas time. My only cost...the cost of the sugar and the canning lids. I have plenty of glass jars.
So...Let's get creative and share those ideas. I'm sure there are many wonderful ideas out there. Then we can all relax and put our feet up. ha ha!emoticon
