Spend 15 minutes with someone special today, either in person or from afar.
How to do it
Plan to spend at least 15 minutes of quality time with a friend or loved one today. Before dinner, housework, homework, and the rest of your evening routine gets you too tired, try to take a little time to catch up with your partner, visit with a close friend, or play with your kids. If the person you love isn't close enough to spend time with, make it a phone call, Skype, or email date instead.
Why it matters
Humans are social creatures. We need other people to talk to, share experiences with, play with, and love. And when we're deprived of those interactions, we can actually begin to feel less energized and more prone to depression. Putting time with loved ones high on your agenda can help prevent that feeling of depletion and will re-energize you.
The first line from the Beatles' "With a Little Help from My Friends" was originally "What would you do if I sang out of tune/Would you stand up and throw tomatoes at me?" Ringo Starr feared that it would incite people to throw tomatoes at live shows.
