Yesterday I felt the need for a stretch so I did X2 Yoga!

Today is my rest day!! woot!! Praise God for rest days!

And I'm going to start training my dog to run with me!! It's getting cool enough out that this is possible now! He's an Alaskan Malamute. Will give me a chance to work on speed a tiny bit at the beginning since at first he likes to all out sprint, lol.

I loved C25K!! It was my starting point at 202lbs for exercise mixed with some P90X.

Today I did sprints up a hill across the road for a warm up :)

And then Jumpped into PAP Lower!

I've been meaning to check in here, but keep forgetting. I've done really well with my workouts. I'm doing the ChaLEAN Extreme/Turbo Fire hybrid. Today was the start of the second week for me. I completed Burn Circuit 2 today. Woohoo! Way to go everyone!

I walk my son to school every day and then 4 days of the week I do my WII active 2 exercises. It is so much easier to do it now that my son is in Kindergarten.

Friday I ordered some workout DVD's from Men's Health called Spartus, has anyone heard of these or tried them? They look a lot like Insanity. Saturday I hit my mile stone of 11 miles! I ran it, but it was rough! Sunday recovering.

I hadn't done Turbo Fire in quite a while, but I received my free Turbo Fire tank top from Beachbody the other day (I had turned the form and pics in a long time ago, but they said it got lost and apologized) so it inspired me to do a Turbo workout. I did Turbo Fire 55. Love that workout!

Today is Bob Harper's Pure Burn Super Strength. It's intense- love it!

By the way- all of his DVDs are just $3.99 on his site! GREAT deal! I honestly think thu are better than Turbo, P90X and Insanity as far as calories burned and they include cardio and weights at the same time.

I did some circuit training using the gymboss app on my phone. I was dripping after 33 minutes and I burned 321 calories. Woohoo!

My Asylum 2 came the other day. Yesterday I did the arms and then the abs DVDs, today I did the legs one. I like it because he combines a lot of cardio, too, and not just weights. P90X was either just weights or just cardio, so my workouts were longer since I would want to get some cardio in, too.

I ran 3 miles last night on the treadmill. I started out walking for 3 minutes to warm up, then I started running at 4.5 mph (5 min.), bumped it up to 4.7 (5 min.), then 5.0(20min), then 6.0 for one minute, for a total running time of 31 minutes, then walked for 6 minutes to cool down. WOOHOO! It felt GREAT! emoticon

No workout for me yesterday because I had horrible stomach pain. The pain was gone this morning so I got up and ran for 30 minutes on the treadmill at 5:30 this morning. WOOHOO! I'm hoping to do one of the workouts on the BenderFitness.com website tonight.

Way to go Dawn! That class sounds like one that I would enjoy.
I am like you with the Total Gym. I don't use it as often as I need too. I have the exercise cards that I put together following their suggestions. Once I get into the routine of using it I like it. My goal for this year is to get stronger so I think that I will try to workout on it at least two times a week.

Sunday Workout: Week 8 Day 1 C25k emoticon emoticon
Monday Workout: 30 min. walking treadmill emoticon and body weight strength training exercises.

I did Holy Yoga this morning before my Reformer Class at the Club. I have to say that Holy Yoga is quickly becoming my highlight to the week. I have struggled with stretching and by nature I am not still ~ all of which to say this class hits these two areas hard and I am actually adapting. I have a long ways to go but I am finding what can help me thrive. I think my steps will be down today. I need to add walking after my Reformer class. Hard to spend 2 hours at the gym especially on my working weekend yet I know that walking makes a huge difference in my well being.
I see HEART4HOME has a total gym. I have one too. I'm curious, do you follow their plan or have you created your own? I have not found lifting weights at the Club effective because I do not feel confident in doing them. Since I have a Total Gym at home and I know how to do the exercises on it, I just need to do it!

Way to go Erin emoticon . Is Asylum the follow up to Insanity?

Today is cross training day for me so no runs on the schedule. I walked 2 miles with Leslie plus some abs, arms, chest and back today.

I hope to get in 30 mins. of activity tonight. I have better losses when I work out morning and evening. I sit a lot during the day while helping the children with schoolwork. So I need to burn off as many calories as possible.

Today was Peak 10 Pure Strength 2. Love that one!

Just ordered Asylum 2~ can't wait till it gets here! I was debating between the 1st or 2nd set but talked to someone who had done both and she said 2 was her favorite. Seeing the clips online, I think I will like that one! Maybe I'll get Asylum 1 for my birthday, lol.

This morning I did Pure Cardio from Insanity. Yesterday morning I busted out 2 miles on the treadmill in 30 minutes. WOOHOO! That was pretty good for me considering that our treadmill is in our nasty unheated basement, and it was 5:45AM. Brrr! emoticon

Today is my rest day (gasp!) I only take about 1-2 "rest days" a month. If I am on call for 16 hours on a weekend I take one, and on they days that I work 2 10:30am-11pm shifts and am on call the night in between I may have to take a rest day if I end up working all night and have to go back in that following day. My triceps and calves are sore from the new Insanity workouts I've been doing the past few days (I bought the advanced set- love it!) so it's a good thing anyways to rest today emoticon

I was able to workout before bed yesterday. I have found a new exercise love on Youtube that I can do with the kids as well. It is called Fit for Duty on the Pentagon Channel. It reminds me of the workouts from basic training and my Army Reserve Days. Since that is the fitness level that I am looking to regain it works perfectly.

Today's workout was Peak10 "Anywhere, Anytime." It's a 41 minute workout that has a lot of plyo and circuit training. No weights in this one, but lots of push ups! Wow, it seems like every day my workouts have push ups, lol!

Today was full body strength training. I increased my weights and could barely make it through my reps. I also did 40 minutes on treadmill emoticon

The class Erin just mentioned was a lot of fun! But pretty intense is an understatement! It was very difficult for someone like me who isn't in good shape. Erin handled it like a pro. She was in better shape than the instructor emoticon

Today I went to a cardio bootcamp/butts and guts class with a few friends (including Amber from our group!) It was a lot of fun, pretty intense. The instructor is really upbeat. emoticon

Today was my run/walk training day. I ran 8 min. and walked 5min. for a total of 30min. I also did some ab work. I hope to get in another workout tonight.

Today I did Insanity Pure Cardio. I was so tired when I first started (which is why I picked the 38 minute workout for today). But I got my second wind and did Insanity Fast and Furious after that (22 minutes) to make a full 60 minutes.

Today's workout was Jessica Smith's Cardio Abs. There are 3 parts. The first is cardio, then there is a cardio/weights, and the last one is more of a yoga type workout. Then at the very end she has a 4 minute Tabata workout. It's a great DVD!

Way to go ShapingitALL - I have heard of that workout and may give it a try this year. I am sticking to low impact until I can get about 20lbs off because the jerky workouts hurt my knees.

Amber- Erin is right take it easy but I can so relate about the sticker emoticon . I could just buy one but now that would be Christ like would it? emoticon . I am thinking of signing up for a race in Feb. as a gift to myself.

Amber- Be careful! Maybe try the elliptical for a while and see how that goes. You don't want to mess with your knees or hip (remember when I hurt mine and couldn't do ANY exercise for 6 weeks? It was awful!) Great job getting there and working out that early though!!

Way to go Amber! I keep trying to run too. I am even hoping to run a 5k this year. I am trying to find my groove. I hope you find something that you enjoy but you rock for getting in 25 min. emoticon

Wed. 72 min. Biggest Loser Power Walk DVD (approx. 4 miles). It feels good to get it done early and now I have energy for my day! emoticon emoticon

Wed: 25 min running,, 30 min strength training full body, and 5 min stretching

I enjoyed being at the gym at 5am, it was a great way to start the day. Did not enjoy the running. It really hurt my knees and my right hip was aching. Running may not be the right fit for me.

Today I did Peak10 Pure Cardio (I am LOVING this program, I HIGHLY recommend it!!) and then I did the Firm Express Phase 3 Cardio (it's only 20 min, and I wanted to get in a little "extra" since I think that tomorrow will be a rest day and I will be busy with my family!) What did you guys do?

No workout for me on Saturday. I did about 30 minutes on the treadmill on Friday evening and some strength training exercises. On Sunday I did 43 minutes on the treadmill. I'm gearing up for a 5K this Sunday morning. WOOHOO!

Good morning! I did an hour walking on Saturday. Also an hour on Sunday. Hoping to get in alittle walking today and also tonight doing biggest loser yoga.
